Warriors Arise: March 9, 2022

Mark 9:21-29 (NKJV) So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” 26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. 28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”
I receive healing, so I give healing.
There are so many Scriptures on healing. I can only share from my personal experience and testify from that point. When someone is in need of healing there are times when they need a solid foundation to stand upon. If they do not already have Scripture as their base and know God can and will heal them, then I share God's Word. I have to stir up their faith.
Can God heal anyone? Yes, He can. So why isn't everyone we pray for or who prays for healing receive their healing. That is an excellent question, for God. I can't answer that. All I know is that healing is something we have to receive. It is a gift from God. It is a gift we have to welcome into our hands, mind and life. It is a gift we have to unwrap instead of letting it sit on the shelf collecting dust like some Bibles. It is a gift we have to exercise. Sometimes the biggest block in our healing is our minds. We don't see how it can happen, so we don't actively receive the gift. Other times, we believe it is our thorn in the flesh, part of our suffering for the Lord; therefore, we really don't pray, open the gift and apply it, because we are afraid that when we open the gift there will be nothing inside, that healing isn't for us. Those mindsets cause a lot of people to put their gift of healing from the Lord up on the shelf, to collect dust, but never truly receive what God has given.
My position on healing is different from most, because most of my life I have been asking, placing myself before the Lord to petition for healing. It began with my mother. The MS activated in her life about 2 years after my birth. She has fought it for 48 years with clean eating and strength that comes from the Lord. I do not know why she doesn't have her healing, but I know this, our responsibility as God's children, His very special own people, to never give up on what He says that we can have, what His Son was whipped and scourged to give us.
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Therefore, our healing has already been bought and the price was paid in blood. Jesus did not have to be whipped one more time for my mother's healing. The Bible says we have our healing, because of what Jesus gave. The Bible is the Word of God and He cannot lie. I do understand we all have to die at some point. There will be some who are here when Jesus returns and they will not experience death. For believers, death is the other side of the blink. We have nothing to fear and everything to gain, eternity in heaven. As God's child, I am to believe He can and will heal through my entry into heaven. As His daughter, my responsibility is not to question when or how He will heal, but I am to pray for healing every opportunity I get. I am to believe God will and I leave the results up to Him. I am to pray believing God will act on behalf of their need. I am to trust God to work things out in the perfect timing. I am to know God's love is enough.
With that stance, I receive the healing Jesus paid to give me. I have not seen the manifestation of God's healing in everyone I have prayed for, but I have seen it in more people than if I hadn't prayed. It is not my responsibility to heal. It is my responsibility to believe for healing, praying for healing and to receive God's healing.
I receive healing, so I give healing.
Father, You are amazing. You are faithful to pour out Your love. You demonstrate Your power over every sickness, disease and deformity. You restore what has been taken from us and You cause our immune system to learn the sickness then defeat it within our body. You free us from demonic control. You do creative miracles in our bodies. Thank You for what You do in our lives. Thank You for the healing You give to each one of us. Your love abounds in our lives. You are more than enough. Thank You for seeing our need, hearing our prayers, and strengthening us while we wait for Your power to be released to restore our bodies in Jesus' name amen.
