Warriors Arise: September 11, 2020

John 21:4-6 (NKJV) But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” 6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
This is a miracle. Over time we can forget what the Lord has done. We can forget the devastation and trauma of a situation. We forget God brought us out of the that terrible time in our life. The Hebrews were slaves in Egypt for 430 years. God sends Moses to lead them out and meet Him on the mountain. God wanted to be their God as He was Abraham's. The Passover was established on the eve of the last plague to pass through Egypt before Pharaoh would let the Hebrews go. The Passover was to remember how the blood of an unblemished lamb would save them from the death angel.
Luke 22:14-16 (NKJV) When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
Fervent means to display a passionate intensity. To the next day would be the day His blood would be used to save people from the death angel. People, in later years, would have the opportunity to confess their sins and be made clean by the sacrifice Jesus was about to make. He is the perfect lamb, without blemish. The death angel cannot get past the blood of Jesus to get to anyone who has received Jesus as Lord and Savior in their life. This does not mean we will never die here on earth but heaven is on the other side of the blink. We will not die because we are unworthy. Jesus, our perfect passover lamb, sacrificed Himself for us to live without the prison sentence of sin.
Matthew 26:26-28 (NKJV) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Luke 22:19-20 (NKJV) And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
From this Passover forward, they were to take the bread and the cup remembering Jesus. Remembering all He was, all He did, and all He taught, all the lepers He healed, all the people He delivered, all the lives that were changed with one touch from Him. They were to remember they were healed with just a Word from the Lord. They were to remember His character to pay taxes and have compassion to provide for the well-being of the people. They were to remember the life He lived. He honored John the Baptist. Remember, Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing. Remember, Jesus slipped through the crowd and the priests could not lay a hand on Him. Remember, He spoke of the widow who gave more than the others. Remember the parables teaching the love of the Father, disciples, mercy, and compassion. Remember, Jesus lived life as a man to demonstrate that we can live accessing the same power He did to defeat the enemy.
Why do we take communion? To remember not only what Jesus did on the cross but how He lived life here on earth, defeated the devil and rose again, just like He said He would. The next time you take communion, will you remember what Jesus did, the life He lived, the lessons He has taught You through His word, that He is alive seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for you?
Communion is more than remembering Jesus died for us, and for our sins. Communion is remembering everything He lived for while on earth; and why He sacrificed Himself on the cross and arose to live again.
One reason we struggle in America to keep God in our nation is because communion is not given the weight of its purpose. Jesus had to live to die. Jesus had to be the unblemished lamb to be the perfect sacrifice. Jesus had to live again for His legacy to be fulfilled.
As we remember the terrorist attack on our nation 19 years ago, I pray you will take time to remember how God brought us through that horrible time. Remember the police officers who died trying to save people in the twin towers. The first responders and firefighters who were putting their lives on the line to save others. We mourned as a nation, because we had a common enemy. Now, America bleeds internally. We have inflicted far worse upon our own people in the last 3 months of the rioting and looting. We have allowed people to kill good people, destroy other people's businesses and homes, and taken from our own. What has happened in the last 3 months exceeds what happened 19 years ago. Violence has become a cancer in our country. We must pray for God to remove the violence from our country like He would remove a tumor from a person's body. Do you remember the devastation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks? We could rally together because we had an enemy who had come from outside our borders but what do you do when the enemy is within?
You call on the Lord God Most High and see His hand of deliverance come.
Father, I ask for You to come. I will make myself remember Jesus as He was here on earth. I will see His power over sickness and disease. I will meditate on the parables He taught. I will feel the sacrifice He went through, that i may have the opportunity to know You. Jesus is worthy of my praise. I have sinned and delight that when I repent He does not hold account of my wrongs but sets me free. I ask for You to begin the restoration of our people, the American people. I ask for each one to see Your truth and live by Your truth. I pray You would expose wrong thinking and the lies each one has embraced. I ask for Your kindness to lead to repentance. I pray for hearts to be open to Your love. I ask for each mind to come to the understanding of Your love for each one. I pray each person would see the value of others. I ask for You to restore us and make us new. I ask for the old to be gone and for each one to live in what You have for them in Jesus' name amen.
A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
