Why Are We to Be Watchful?

Sometimes we don't know when the battle is going to begin, but it will begin. The enemy hopes to catch us off guard or unaware. By the time we recognize the battle is happening the enemy has already gained a foothold, taken land, or caused us to compromise in some way.

Sometimes we ignore the signs because we hope there isn't going to be a battle. The enemy really hopes we will ignore the signs because then we aren't prepared. As a Christians we are to be watchful, alert, and awake. These are all words used in the Bible as a warning that the enemy is coming.

2 Timothy 4:3-5 (NKJV) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

But this doesn't mean to give up just because people "will turn their ears away from the truth." I exhort you as a fellow Christian, to be watchful in all things. Know when the enemy is trying to press his advantage and know how to take a stand against him. (Ephesians 6:10-18) There is no greater stance against the enemy than through prayer. Bind the enemy's plans and loose the will of God.

Most of us do not like conflict. I don't either. But I have learned that if I do not fight in the spiritual battle the enemy has begun; then I will lose so much more than I think I am guarding by turning away from battle. We want people to be honest. We want people to be civil when they share their point of view. Sure, people are going to be passionate but we don't have to be ignorant. God gives us the truth and for those who will search it out they will know the Rock upon which to stand.

John 8:31-32 (NKJV) Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Everyone has a right to their point of view. But it doesn't mean that everyone's point of view is accurate or the truth. When our opinion is not based on the truth of God's Word then we are not standing upon the Rock of Jesus Christ in our viewpoint. Our opinion should not change depending upon who we are with or where we are. As a Christian, you and I are always a Christian. It would seem that too many people believe they can be a solid Christian with their stance upon the Rock of Jesus Christ, but they do not have to embrace what God tells us is truth. Christians who do not agree with the Bible do not have a solid stance upon the Rock of Jesus Christ.

We have known for weeks, I believe about 5 weeks that ballots have been hijacked before they got to the recipient. My daughter did not receive hers. A friend of mine told me her grandson did not receive his. So where are they?

We have known for weeks, that those who where being sent back were not received. I'm not sure we knew how often this happened nor to what extent. Months ago, there were several friends posting that they had received up to seven absentee ballots. They posted a picture on social media. Right then the enemy had told us his plan. He was going to flood the voting with dishonest people who would submit more than one ballot. (I am not saying those I saw did.) Let's be honest, there are many people who would. The people who think you win at all cost, no matter what it cost. Besides, who would know? They would be mailing them in and they all had a little bit of difference to them. If you see a way to win and not get caught cheating, most people do it. Only Holy Spirit keeps us honest. We do not defeat the enemy by playing the game the enemy's way. We defeat the enemy by following the rules, trusting God, and praying. My non-believing friends do not understand this. How Christians respond during this time of the election could be a witness to them. Cheating for your own personal gain is one thing but cheating to violate another's right is vile, and devalues the other person. This is the point people do not understand. You cheat if you want, in matters that only pertain to you, but when you cheat, lie, and deceive taking away the rights and freedoms of another person you are saying they aren't as valuable as you. God values everyone. Here, in America, we are to value everyone, giving each one the right to their vote. So we continue to pray for the truth to be revealed, ballots people used to vote more than once to be taken out of the count, and for justice to prevail.

Father, we look to You to guide us each day. I do not hate anyone but I also do not want anyone to be ignorant of the schemes of the enemy. If an election is won based on lies what does that say about us as a nation. I bind the enemy's lies and release the truth in Jesus' name. I bind lawlessness and release release justice in the name of Jesus. I bind deceit and loose honesty in Jesus' name. I bind the lies of the enemy spewing through our media and loose the Holy Spirit to bring conviction in Jesus' name. I bind the enemy from obstructing justice and loose the freedom to know what is right and for it to be established in our country in Jesus' name. I say God is Lord of the United States of America. I declare His will to be done and His ways to be established in the USA. I pray for Christians to have tenacity to continue in prayer for the president and his family, for the vice president and his family and for all those who are investigating the election ballots. I ask for Christians to have fortitude, courage to continue praying against the plans of our adversary the devil. I ask for there to be a shift this week in the justice process over the election ballots. I pray that truth would prevail and Christians would not relinquish their position but press in and continue to pray for the will of God to be done here on earth as it is in heaven in Jesus' name amen.
