Cross Over part 20

Joshua 3:7 (NKJV) And the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.

There are times when you want to know God not only is with You and that He has your back but it would be nice if the people He was having you lead knew God put you in that position. In Joshua 3:7 God says He is going to exalt Joshua it the sight of all Israel. It was not to glorify Joshua. It was for the sake of the people, "that they may know...I will be with you."

God sometimes does the miraculous for the sake of the people. He wants the people to know who He is for, who He is giving His power to, and who He expects everyone else to listen to. God wants the people to not only know His power and ability but all who He has positioned to lead. When a miracle happens, do you recognize it as such? If we do not recognize the miracle then we can miss who God is speaking to, who we are to listen to, who God will empower to lead His people.

What exactly is a miracle? Something that cannot be done by man, human beings. A miracle is something that is done without lying, cheating, and man-made manipulation. A miracle is where everything comes together so the impossible is now possible. A miracle takes the power of God and at times, the people God uses. These are known as great exploits.

Daniel 11:32b (NKJV) ...the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

God calls each one of us to do great exploits with Him. These great exploits are being part of the miraculous. The miraculous is something you accomplished but it couldn't have been done without God's involvement. Joshua would not have been a part of this great exploit if he had not pursued God. Even though he was never invited into the tent of meeting with Moses when God arrived, he remained outside waiting. Joshua did not get caught up in the different rebellions the children of Israel struggled with. Why is that?

Joshua positioned himself to be as close to God as possible. No, he wasn't invited into the tent of meetin but he positioned himself to be the first to hear what God said to Moses. He would not be caught being a murmurer in the camp. Because he was outside the tent of meetings he couldn't be distracted nor moved by the voices of the people. Where are you positioned at this time?

God needs people who will position themselves to purse Him. Even if you do not feel like you are in the inner circle of God, hearing what the prophets are saying, are you positioning yourself to hear God? Are you seeking the Scriptures in a way to get direction, be trained in the application of the Word of God, and renew your mind with what God has promised? We must keep the promises before us. We must remind ourselves what God has said. We must not listen to those who are not in pursuit of God. We must not listen to voices of the world that do not speak for God.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV) For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

Why did God choose Joshua? Because Joshua chose God. What does it look like to choose God? God is looking for His people to choose Him. He wants those who will listen and follow His plan. He wants people who know how to pursue Him. He wants people who will say what He says to say. He wants people who will lead as He instructs. He wants people who will follow Him. When we do, God will invite us to do great exploits with Him to accomplish His will. When we do, God will establish His kingdom here on earth. When we do, the people we lead and the nations who watch will know God is not only with us but He is fighting our battles.

God wants His people to pursue Him, listen and follow His plan. God needs people who will chose Him, His way, and His truth.

Father, I ask for You to come and bring life to me. I pray for my heart to be loyal to You. I want to pursue You will all that I am and all that I have. I position myself today to know Your presence and Your voice. I will listen and follow as You instruct. Even though I see the blockade in front of me, I know You will move it when it is time to cross over. I pray in the name of Jesus for the blockade to be removed from America. I pray for the American people to ready themselves to follow You. I pray for You to give instruction to Your leaders and for them to heed Your voice. I pray for deception and treason to be exposed and righteousness to prevail. I pray You will establish Your leader among the people and the world will know You are with him and America. I thank You for the miracle You are about to do. I thank You for the people You have positioned who are in pursuit of Your will. I thank You for leading us through the wilderness. I wait in anticipation for Your hand to push the blockade 18 miles upstream so Your people can cross over, so every American will be free from wandering and embrace the promise You put in their hearts. I ask for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done in Jesus' name amen
