Warriors Arise: December 23, 2020

1 Samuel 30:23-25 (NKJV) But David said, “My brethren, you shall not do so with what the Lord has given us, who has preserved us and delivered into our hand the troop that came against us. 24 For who will heed you in this matter? But as his part is who goes down to the battle, so shall his part be who stays by the supplies; they shall share alike.” 25 So it was, from that day forward; he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.
David is teaching his warriors something extremely valuable. He is inviting them not just as warriors and their captain but as men, fathers and sons in families. It applies to our lives as well. When we see the value of others we take the time to invest in them. David sees each one of these men as having something to contribute to each other.
David addressed them as equals when he calls them brethren. He is calling them to be something they might not have embraced yet. When they were about to stone him were they thinking of him as their brother? David is calling them to be more than what they currently are. He caused them to see themselves as a part of a whole, a family. David is teaching them godly principles. Family does not turn family away.
Secondly, David is teaching them what God has given, they are not to hoard. We are to see the abundance and where we can use it to restore others, give them hope, and make sure they are taken care of. I understand people need to be responsible but these 200 men were obviously not well or David would not have left them. David knew there would be a battle and he didn't need more people to look after in the middle of the battle. Nor did he need to have it on his conscience that they might have died, because he put them in a position they were not physically able to achieve. Therefore, he will give out of his abundance to these men. They will fight along side of them another day. They are not going to send them away.
Next, David makes sure they understand their life was persevered by the one who sent them in pursuit of their enemy. God protected them in the battle and throughout the battle. Yes, they had fought but it was important that they remember, if God's protection wasn't there they wouldn't be there. One miscalculation in their hand-to-hand fight could have brought different results. God protected each one of them.
Finally, God delivered the Amalekites into their hands. At the point they probably lost the trail of the Amalekites, God intervened. God used the Egyptian Amalekite slave to lead them. If they still had a good trail they wouldn't have needed him alive. They didn't have to stop and restore him to health but they did. Why did they? Because they needed him. God provided someone to help David and his men when the trail was uncertain maybe even nonexistent. God delivered the Amalekites into their hands. They needed all the help God provided. They would not be alive. They would not have their wives and children back. They would not have the overflowing abundance of spoil before them if God had not sent them, sustained them, and brought them out.
David needed all the men to learn these things about God because God is the one you will take your case before.
1 Samuel 30: 24a For who will heed you in this matter?...
When man will not hear your case, then you go to God. If they have taken all of the credit then how will God judge? David let them know he already made his decision. They would have to take their case before God.
It is important to recognize God's involvement in our lives. We face all kinds of hardships, we go hand-to-hand against our adversary, we preserver, while not knowing when we will get relief. But do we realize God is right there with us when we go through the hardships. He sees us cry and hears our hearts. He positions us to take back what the enemy has stolen. Do we realize we may have to fight the enemy in hand-to-hand combat. The devil is a liar and I don't like to be that close; because I can hear the devil's lies but I go forward with my God and He protects my ears. Do we realize we are to preserver until we, as a part of God's family, are to win. God is second to none. When He sends us, we will fight to the end for the win. God has made us overcomers!
Father, I ask for You to come and help me set my mind on You. You have given me victory. When you tell me to go after the enemy, I will go. When the enemy has stolen from me I will turn to You and be strengthened. I will follow Your plan. I will not stop pursuit of the enemy who seeks to steal what You have given me. I will not let the enemy take my family nor my children. I will fight for their freedom. I will engage the enemy in battle, even hand-to-hand. I will have my helmet of Salvation secure on my head. I will not listen to the lies of the enemy. I will focus on Your Word and cut down every lie the enemy spews at me. I will fight for the freedom of those on my left and on my right. In the name of our Lord Jesus, I tell the liar to go in Jesus' name. I release truth and justice. I release the kingdom of God to prevail in Jesus' name. The lies, the frauds, the set ups and scandals are to go in Jesus' name. I release the truth, value to each American voter, blessings to our president and all those he has appointed to office. I bind up the liars, manipulators and traitors to be judgde and all of their deeds done in darkness to be exposed in Jesus' name. I pray for our nation to return to one nation under God in Jesus' name amen.
A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
