Warriors Arise: April 5th, 2020
Ephesians 6:17, "And take the helmet of salvation..." I have wondered why Paul attached salvation to the helmet. My thought: you and I respond according to our beliefs. If the helmet of salvation is not on securely then we can become tossed to and fro by every wayward doctrine and selfish desire. When we know that we know we are saved, then relationship with our creator is established, personal transformation begins and we position ourselves to learn the "family" business (God's family). Earth is a spiritual battle zone, the enemy is here seeking whom he may devour, but God gives us a way to conquer the enemy of our soul.
Jesus is speaking in John 10:10, The enemy does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly. In our mind, we need to make a distinction between the enemy of our soul and Jesus, the deliverer of our soul. There is a battle for every person God has created. The enemy wants to flaunt in God's face all those who have raised their fist and hardened their heart toward God. But God would not allow us to remain deceived by the devil any longer. God sent Jesus. I Timothy 2:3-6 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus...who gave Himself a ransom fo all, to be testifies in due time. I am here to testify of the salvation Jesus died to give each and every person. Because of Jesus, our eyes can see and our ears can hear what God has for us. Those who choose Jesus are free from the prison of deception. Earth is not our final destination. I have chosen Heaven to be my final destination. In Heaven I will be surrounded by only those who have chosen Christ as their Lord and Savior. We will worship God, live without disease, pain or contention. We will live the abundant life Jesus died and rose again to give us.
Ephesians 2:8-9: For my grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Salvation is a free gift for anyone who receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We do not work for what Jesus already paid to give us. I serve the Lord out of my love for what He has done in my life, how He continues to intervene for my protection, provision, and prosperity, and His daily activity in my life. I am never alone. Jesus is with me. The Holy Spirit guides me into all truth and I apply His truth to my life. When I choose to listen to the Holy Spirit I life the abundant life Jesus gave me. When I listen to the Holy Spirit I will not be deceived, I will not be overtaken, and I cannot be imprisoned by the lies of the devil. I am free to be all God created me to be. This is the same for EVERYONE who calls on the name of Jesus and listens to the Holy Spirit. He know the heart and mind of God. When we pray, He already has the answer. Our responsibility is to listen, trust and act upon what God has said.
As a parent I have said to more than one of the children, "Where is you brain? Please engage your brain and think about what you just said!" I relate this to putting the helmet of salvation securely on our head. Too many times we a reasoning without connection with the Father. My children did not loose their brain. They didn't unplug it. But they didn't engage a reasonable thought process for the needed outcome. How many times do we say something, sometimes what we have said is even contrary to the Word of God or even what we truly believe in our heart about God. Our brain was not attached! The helmet of Salvation was not securely in place, what we said did not run through the mind of Christ.
Secure the helmet of Salvation in your life and continue to pray with us:
Father God I bow my head to day and seek forgiveness from the things I have said when my helmet was not securely on. I bypassed the mind of Christ and spoke out of turn, sometimes not even knowing what was coming out of my mouth. I ask Father for you to forgive me. I will take time to listen to Your voice, trust what You have said and act accordingly, accomplishing the things You have put before me to do. Today, my heart grieves as the death toll continues to grow. I wonder how many know You as their personal Lord and Savior. Father God, I ask You to be with each family who is suffering the loss of a loved one. Wrap Your arms around them until they melt into Your embrace. They will only be healed in their soul if You come. Your Word says no one comes to the Father, receiving salvation except through the Son, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I ask for Your Holy Spirit to brood over everyone right now that is infected with the coronavirus. I ask that none should perish without receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jesus, You died so that none would go to hell. You lived on earth to show believers how to overcome in this life. You rose to Heaven to prepare a place for those who choose to believe in You. Jesus, You are coming back. It will be a glorious day! God, only You know the last breath of each person. I pray today believing that the blood of Jesus is enough to bring a stop to the deaths caused by the coronavirus but if You are calling them to make a decision now then I ask for each and everyone to receive a visitation from You. I ask in the name of Jesus that each one will profess the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I ask for You to break through the lies they have believed that have held them as prisoners in the darkness of the devil's dungeons. I ask for You to set the captives free, free to know Jesus and believe in Jesus name Amen!

My hope is for believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus.
