When Do You Know How to Respond?

Last week I shared about the Holy Spirit giving gifts. One of the gifts is discerning of spirits. This is an important gift. However, we do not see many people who operate in that gift. Someone who is gifted with discerning of spirits is someone who sees demons and angels, literally they see them. Sadly, since most of us do not, we would think a person with that gifting is a little off, we might even call them crazy. If percentages were switched then most of us would see demons and angels. Then what is going on in our world today would make more sense.

According to Ephesians 6:12a, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. That means our battle is not against a person. So since we are not to wrestle with a person then how do we turn in a situation. If someone has lied about you, slandered you or spoken in such a manner as to cause others to think ill of you what do you do? How do you respond when a supernatural being is causing trouble in your life? If you can't wrestle against the person causing the strife and conflict in your life, telling lies and deceiving others, what do you do, how do you respond?

Since we are not to wrestle against a person, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. We fight those we can't see, because we learn what is of God and what is of the devil. It is really easy to spot the devil, after all, he is the father of lies. In him there is no truth. A way to identify the where a situation has originated is to know if people want the truth. If they do not want the truth then they do not want justice. If they do not want justice then God is not behind what they are doing.

You gotta admit there are some pretty shifty things going on with the ballots. People are coming forward saying they went to vote and were told they couldn't because they had already voted. I ordered an absentee ballot for Abigail six weeks before election day and she never received it. A friend of mine said this happened to her grandson. Where did their ballots go? Then there is the judge who ordered the sheriff to make sure poll watchers were being let in to where the opening of ballots was happening and the sheriff's department refused. We have a system of how absentee ballots are to be counted. It is designed to have both a democrat and a republican present, overseeing the process. But when this doesn't happen is causes people to be suspicious. Just do it right and no one will have a problem. When people do not follow the original rule then more rules are made. We do not need our U.S. Congress wasting time on additional rules for elections when the ones we have work if they are followed.

1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV) For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

I don't generally see demons or angels but I can see when the world is in a state of unrest and confusion, the devil is at work. What causes confusion? Lies. The devil is the father of lies.

John 8:44 (NKJV) You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

This verse clearly identifies those who are liars align themselves with the devil. There is no truth in the devil. So how do you respond when you are faced with a situation that won't go away because the devil is using all his own resources to cause division.

I do not know anybody who enjoys being in conflict. some people are in a state of conflict because there is such unrest within themselves. However, the devil defeats Christians day after day because we do not know what to do when he has called us out to wrestle, when he can lied and slandered us, when he has caused people to turn away from us. When do you know how to respond? When you see the devil at work and respond with justice. Justice represents a righteous anger. You are putting your anger into motivating you to take a stand against the plot of the enemy. You see how the enemy wants to kill the good things in a person' life, you see the enemy reaching in to steal they blessing a person has received or you see the enemy destroying a person's hopes, dreams, and destiny. Justice is a powerful motivation for bringing about God's results.

It is right for authorities to rise up and defend us.

It is right to expect the best regardless of the past.

It is right for me to know wrong is not right and not accepted anymore.

Father, I am incredibly thankful for the Bible. Thank You for writing down exactly what we need so we know how to life according to Your good, acceptable, and perfect will. Thank You for writing down exactly how we are to respond in situations we really just want to be over. Your Word tells us to wrestle against the enemy. We are to take a stand against the wiles of the devil. We are to withstand the attacks of the devil. We are to keep standing. To do all of this, we need Your Word as our Rock, the base we fight from. I ask for Christians to take a stand, to move forward in each day knowing justice needs to take place in this election. If there are no wrong ballots, if every ballot is accounted for with a registered American voter then time is all we have lost. But if there are ballots that have been forged and we do not enforce the American election process then we have allowed the father of lies to dictate our today and sabotage our future. God, we are asking for fortitude to withstand the attack of the enemy. We are asking for persistence in prayer for justice to prevail. We're asking for tenacity in our stand against the lies of the enemy. We will submit to You and resist the devil. In James 4:7 it says if we do those two things, the devil will flee. I can accept the outcome when I know justice has prevailed. But today, we are standing for justice, for our American right to vote, for our American right to worship You. I ask for You to come and bring truth and justice to our land over the ballots fo this election. I ask the every seat in Congress to be established according to Your Word. We will not yield to the enemy. We will declare justice take place and Your government officials to be established. It is not right for this injustice to go on any longer. We invite You to step in and release Your kingdom here on earth as it is in have in Jesus' name amen.
