Warriors Arise: June 25th, 2020

Luke 24:28-32 (NKJV) Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. 30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
It has been a long day. So much had already happened. Now, Jesus has revealed Himself; they know it was Him; He vanishes from sight; they share with each other that they had a burning in their heart when Jesus taught them and now what do they do?
I am impressed with the response of the two disciples. Early in the late afternoon, Jesus had called them foolish and slow of heart to believe, but now their response in commendable. They rose up and returned to Jerusalem, not the next day or the day after but that very hour. They went to find the eleven disciples.
Luke 24:33 (NKJV) So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together
What would you do?
These two men, disciples of Jesus, rose up that very hour and went 7 miles back to Jerusalem to find the eleven disciples to tell them Jesus is alive! There is coming a time very soon when Jesus is going to reveal Himself because He wants believers to actively follow Him. I'm not sure if you and I will be the two disciples running back to Jerusalem or the eleven who have remained in Jerusalem. The problem with the eleven disciples remaining in Jerusalem is they had received a message that morning from an angel given to them by three trust women that Jesus would meet them in Galilee. Yet, they did not move like these two disciples. They did not pack their bag and set out for Galilee. Then Mary Magdalene had seen Jesus and He had set a message back to His eleven disciples and still they did not go to Galilee.
These two men went back to Jerusalem to testify, tell of their walk with Jesus, all He taught them, even that He called them foolish and slow of heart to believe. Yet, the eleven remain in Jerusalem.
Warriors, my concern for us: Will we be ready to go meet Jesus when He sends a message? Or will we remain in our homes? I am ok with us praying for the miraculous, getting in tune with the Father's heart for the people, and waiting for Him to show us where He is at work. We want what we do to matter and be kingdom advancement. I am wondering, will we be ready? Jesus died so that none would perish. His desire if for all to know Him and believe, accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Jesus prayed often. His disciples found Him praying all the time. Every time it is recorded Jesus was off praying He returned and did the miraculous. We do not pray in vain. We pray to push through the demonic forces and release God's will here on earth, as it is in heaven. Will we be ready to actively restore what the enemy has stolen? God is going to show us how to demonstrate His love to all people. Will you and I be counted with those who get to demonstrate His love?
Father, I want to be counted as one who will rally the disciples, a believer to go where you tell us to go. Just like Jesus, I want to be one who sees what You are doing and joins you. I ask for You to speak to me, continue revealing Your amazing love for all people. Jesus died being humiliated, spat upon, cursed, and challenged to use His God-power out of timing with Your will. I wait for You. I recognize You can defend Yourself. As people are encouraged to deface and destroy any picture, statue, or stained glass of Jesus, extend mercy on their souls. These things remind us of You and all You have done for our salvation, but You are a part of every believer. I see Your love, kindness, mercy and grace. I see Your patience, gentleness, and long suffering. I know things can get worse but I am praying Your plan is to activate Your people to advance Your kingdom into the lives of those who are hurting, angry, unaware, and rebellious. I pray we will have Your heart toward each person. I ask that we would tap into Your love for each person and offer redemption and restoration through Jesus Christ. I pray You would go before us and make a way for us to share the Gospel, the good news to settle their hearts, and bring peace to their mind. I pray You would direct our path and make a way for believers to demonstrate Your love in an undeniable way to expand Your kingdom. What the enemy meant for evil You will turn to the greatest revival in the history of the world in Jesus' name amen.
A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
