What Does That Mean?

Warriors Arise: February 15, 2022

Luke 19:1-10 (NKJV) Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” 6 So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. 7 But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” 8 Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” 9 And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; 10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Salvation is a big deal. Yes, being saved gets us into heaven, but maybe we have forgotten what salvation offers us.

Yes, the forgiveness of our sins.

• To be the victor and no longer the victim.

• To be the conqueror instead of the conquered.

• To be led in triumph when the battle rages against us.

• To be made whole when life has shattered before us.

• To be made new, a new creation in Christ.

• To be like Christ, imitators of God (Eph 5:1)

• To be living our purpose, destiny and calling.

• To be full of peace that surpasses understanding.

• To be one who operates in wisdom and understanding.

• To be one whose work is blessed.

• To be one who rises up when life wants to knock you down.

• To be one who operates in abundance so we have what others needs: faith, finances, courage, compassion and joy.

• To be one who never gives up, because we know will make a way out.

• To be a priest of God.

• To be royalty.

• To be of a peculiar people.

• To be surround my His cloud of witnesses.

• To be encouraged by those who have gone before us.

• To be one who receives from the Lord, so we can give what has freely been given to us. We receive forgiveness, so we give forgiveness. We receive healing, so we give healing. We receive courage so we encourage others. We receive compassion, so we give compassion. We receive joy, so we give joy. We received unconditional love, so we give unconditional love.

Salvation is the threshold into kingdom living, so much more than having the heavenly doors opened up to you when you pass from this world into eternity. Salvation opens the doors here on earth to live as Jesus lived.

Father, thank You for Salvation. Thank You Jesus, for showing us how to live by bringing the kingdom of heaven here on earth. Thank You for making a way for me to be made new and whole. Thank You for Your peace, joy and unconditional love. Your forgiveness restores my soul and breathes life into me. Thank You for calling me into being a part of advancing Your kingdom here on earth. You are wonderful in all of Your ways. I receive from Your love and wisdom to be filled to overflowing so I am able to offer others what You have given to me. I want an overflow of Your love to reach everyone I come in contact with. I pray Your love would flow through Your people and spread faster than covid every did. I pray Your love would reverse the effects of covid. I pray Your love would be a shield against covid and any other disease that attacks and steals from our bodies. Thank You for your love and every drop of blood spilled for our healing in Jesus' name amen.
