Deuteronomy 28:8 (NKJV) “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

My storehouses are bless and the work of my hands.

Blessed defined in the Scripture above means the implication of prosperity. When God says that He will command a blessing that means you are going to prosper. Prosper means you will not be scraping by. To prosper means you will have more than enough. It really means you will be overflowing. Are you surprised to know the Lord commands a blessing upon you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand? Let's think about what it would be to prosper in our storehouses.

What does it look like for your storehouses to be blessed? What do you consider to be your storehouses?

  • Your bank accounts?

  • Your freezer and refrigerator?

  • Your cellar or basement with can goods from harvest?

  • Your fields yielding and your barns full?

God wants you to know He will bless your storehouses. Maybe we do not know what to consider to be our storehouses; therefore, we do not look for them to be blessed. God does not desire for His people just getting by. I think we get by becuase we fail to recognize God's desire is to bless us. We learn to deal with what we have and get comfortable with lack because people of God receive the commanded blessing in their storehouses and all they do with their hands.

In getting comfortable, we get slack in our responsibilities to be diligent in all things. God is not the God of just enough, God is the God of more than enough. Every time He fed the people, the disciples picked up baskets of leftovers. God wants to bless our bank accounts because we are to lend to the nations. We can't lend to the nations if we only have the money needed for our bills. We are not called to live paycheck to paycheck. We are blessed by God to have our storehouses full and overflowing.

God says He blessed all you put your hands to. What does that entail?

Your job?

Your chores?

Your responsibilities around the house and in the community?

Your honey-do-list?

God desires for each one of us to be diligent with what He had given us to do. He wants us to be responsible and take care of what He has given us. He wants us to assist and serve others. He wants us to work diligently with all we put our hands to. He will bless the work of our hands.

My storehouses are bless and the work of my hands.

Father, You command a blessing upon my storehouses. I receive that blessing for everything I have in my bank accounts, in my cellar, refrigerator, freezer and everything I own. I thank You for blessing me with all that I have. Thank you for blessing all my hands do. I will be faithful and diligent to accomplish what You have put in my hands to do. I will not get comfortable with lack. You have blessed all the work of my hands and I will lay hold of all You have put in my hans to do in Jesus' name amen.
