Under My Feet

Warriors Arise: October 21, 2023

Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet."

No one wants to be a door mat. We are not the ones who are to be trampled under people's feet. You and I are not to be the one's trampled under foot. You and I are to be the one's trampling the enemy under our feet.

Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

When we walk in peace, we operate in the power of God. His power being activated within us and released upon the enemy because we remain in His peace crushes Satan under our feet. God gives us the ability to walk in peace. When Paul talks about the armor we are to put on when going into battle against the enemy, he says we are to walk in the shoes of the Gospel of peace.

Philippians 4:5-7 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

How did I get from being salt of the earth to peace that surpasses all understanding? Peace is a powerful tool. God has given this to each one of us. It is the peace of God within us that crushes Satan under your feet.

Jesus is telling the people and us to be operate in the Father's peace. It is mind-boggling to the enemy. God's peace keeps us steady in our faith to do what He has called us to do. His peace keeps us moving forward not only in our relationship with God.

• We are to live out boldly in our faith and unite together with Believers in Christ.

• We are to stir one another up, be an alert, and keep watch making sure the enemy does not catch us with our guard down.

• We are to be our brother's keeper, being vigilant about doing our part, keeping the Word of God active in our lives, and not leaving a vacancy in the body of Christ.

• We are to fulfill our position. We are to remain salty.

When we remain in Christ, in daily, consisting relationship with the Father, and actively pursuing the calling He has placed on our life, we will be salty. We will have something of value to add to the lives of those around us.

Father, thank You for keeping my eyes focused on You, my heart faithful and my hands in Your service. I desire to be salty and have something over value to add to the advancement of Your kingdom here on earth. I will pursue You and peace. I will rise and put Satan under my feet because I have remained in You and Your peace is evident in my life. You are mu strength and my source. I will draw from You so I have salt to give to others. I pray for influence to season their life in Christ in Jesus' name amen.
