Numbers 6:23-26 (NKJV) ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: 24 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’

Today is a day of so many new beginnings for my family. One in particular I would ask for you to join me in prayer for the next 8 months. I already had today's prayer blog written but felt compelled to move it to tomorrow. Abigail, my oldest, will be leaving the United States on her way to Guatemala for next 8 months. She will be serving as a missionary with Global Year. I would ask for you to join me in praying a blessing over her, for God's hand to touch her, protect her and the Spirit of God to lead her.

You may have a child who is in the military or fighting for her or his life against an illness. You can include your child as well in these prayers and declare these Scriptures for them. Maybe your child needs covered with these Scriptures for school or the college they attend or at their job. Please include your children in the prayer and use these verses to declare over their lives every day.

Deuteronomy 31:7-8 (NKJV) “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it. 8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Just as Moses exhorted Joshua, we will exhort Abigail to be strong and of good courage.

Deuteronomy 7:6-9 (NKJV) “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

We will pray Abigail will know who she is and Who's she is. She is a child of God and His love is for her to succeed in the land where He has called her. God is faithful.

Psalms 121 (NKJV)

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—

From whence comes my help?

2 My help comes from the Lord,

Who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, He who keeps Israel

Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper;

The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

6 The sun shall not strike you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in

From this time forth, and even forevermore.

God will guide her steps and preserve her soul. He will preserve her going out and her coming in from this time forth. Abigail will call to the Lord, her God and He will help her.

Deuteronomy 1:30-31 (NKJV) The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, 31 and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.

God will go before Abigail and fight her battle. He will carry her through the wilderness.

Isaiah 45:2 (NKJV)

‘I will go before you

And make the crooked places straight;

I will break in pieces the gates of bronze

And cut the bars of iron.

The places Abigail and her team cannot get into, God will make a way. He will straighten out the red tape and those who are resistant to the message of Jesus Christ. The bronze gate they have placed to guard their hearts will be open and they will receive Jesus.

Psalms 139:5 (NKJV)You have hedged me behind and before,

And laid Your hand upon me.

Father, I thank You for hearing a mother's cry. You are going before Abigail and have prepared a place for her to be in Your hands to serve the people, Your Voice to share Your perfect love, and Your feet to go into all the world to share Your love, the love of Christ with all people. Thank You for going before her and Your rear guard protecting her. Thank You for putting a hedge of protection all around her. You will fight her battles. You will make a way for Your Word to go out through her and the team she is with. You will keep the pestilence of the land away from her. You will protect her from all harm. You will strengthen her body and restore her soul. Your promises are yes and amen. I trust You because You will take care of her better than I could. She is precious in Your sight and the apple of Your eye. Your love for her never stops. Your hand of protection is strong and mighty. You are her, God and there is no other. She will call out to You and You will hear her. Your hand is upon her giving her strength and protection. Your favor is upon her and she will extend Your love with everyone she meets, everywhere she goes in Jesus' name amen.
