Warriors Arise: October 2, 2021

Matthew 8:1-3 (NKJV) When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
I don' know if Jesus "had to" touch the leper. It doesn't say, "Jesus put out His hand and touched the leper, immediately he was healed." Maybe He touched the leper because the proof in his healing was for him to be touched. Everyone was afraid to get leprosy. It was a horrific disease. If someone had leprosy they were not permitted among the people, in the town or city. They had their own colony, away from civilization. The pain of their disease was atrocious as their body rotted, oozed and bleed. It was an unthinkable thing for Jesus to reach out and touch the leper. But He did. He loved the leper exactly where he needed to be loved. He needed the touch of God.
There are times when we need healed in our innermost being and the only way that we will be healed is if we allow God access. This man had come before Jesus and worshiped Him. When we worship God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our strength, we leave nothing uncovered and have nothing left to hide. Then we are in position to receive exactly what we need. The validity of everything Jesus was demonstrating to the people is the overflow of God's love. God's love would not stop at leprosy. Jesus would touch the man and then speak words of confirmation, "I am willing." Amazing! Jesus is absolutely amazing.
Enter into worship today and lift the name of Jesus on high, magnify God, and praise the Holy Spirit. Leave time for God to reach out and touch you. Listen for His voice to speak to you.
Father, You are truly beyond what my mind can comprehend. Your love is astounding. I am amazed. I position myself before You and call out all the times You have demonstrated your love to me. I come before You today igniting my praise as I remember Your involvement in my life to position me to be made whole again. Thank you. My heart, my mind and my strength are made whole by Your love. I worship You today with all that I am because of all that You have done, in Jesus' name amen.
