Warriors Arise: April 12th, 2020
Sharing with our kids the history of Passover led me to think about when Jesus blinked. His mortal body died on the cross at Calvary and it was a terrible, gruesome death. When Jesus opened His eyes where did He go? What did Jesus do?
We know Jesus went to hell to crash the devil's party (Colossians 2:14-15). The devil didn't realize that he was being used by God to kill Jesus. Twelve hours where the devil thought that torment and death of Jesus was all his idea. The devil's pride led to his ultimate downfall. The devil played right into God's plan. All the things that happened to Jesus prior to and through His crucifixion were prophesied in the Old Testament. The devil took credit for something God already said was going to happen.
While the devil was telling all the demons what he had done to Jesus did didn't see who was entering his domain. To us, here on earth, Jesus was dead, but God opened the doors for Jesus to free those the devil "thought" were his. Jesus was not dead as was supposed; He was alive.
Death has come up a few times with the kids. I tell them, on the other side of the blink we are in heaven with Jesus! We are celebrating in heaven. When my last breath comes, my next breath is in heaven. Heaven is a blink away. On the other side of Jesus' blink He entered the devil's domain with the keys to free all those who had died before His crucifixion, those who believed. The devil could do nothing! He was powerless against Jesus. Jesus walked in, called each one who believed in Him by name. They walked out of hell and into heaven. Jesus escorted them into His Father's house. (Ephesians 4: 8 & 9, I Peter 3:18 & 19) Oh, the celebration! I can't wait to see the video from that day, when I get to heaven!
Jesus, I praise Your Name! Thank you for going through with the plan to redeem me from my life of sin. Thank you for shedding You blood for my healing. There have been a number of times I have wandered from a vibrant Christian life. Thank you for pursuing me. Thank you Jesus for coming to snatch me from the lies of the devil. I pray You would go and rescue Your people who are secluded in the hospitals all around the world, one breath away from death. I ask You to enter their room and breathe the breath of life into their lungs. Father God, all it takes is one word from You and they are healed. I pray You would say the word. I ask that their ears be open to hearing Your voice. I bless their minds to be alert and understand that the God who created the world, who knit them together in their mother's womb, and gave them a purpose to live, wants them to live. You not only want them to live but You want them to live in the fullness of life that Jesus died to give them. Touch their bodies with Your healing power. Open their ears to hear Your voice and to walk in You ways the rest of their lives in Jesus' name amen. If this should be their time to blink into the ever after, I pray they will have confessed their sins, declared Jesus as their Lord, and received His gift of salvation in Jesus' name amen!

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus.
