Warriors Arise: April 3, 2021
Daniel 6:19 (NKJV) Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions.

So is anybody else reading this and seeing something so cool! God is so amazing with how He directs our path! I know I used verse 19 yesterday but look at it again.
"Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions."
Tomorrow! Tomorrow we celebrate the KING who arose very early in the morning!
Matthew 28:1-6 (NKJV) Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.
How early is very early? Darius arose very early to go check on Daniel. These ladies started to the tomb where Jesus was laid as the first day of the week began to dawn. They get there and His not here; for He is risen, as He said...
You may be going to a Sunrise service tomorrow. Will you have the anticipation of Darius? Will you be running to see if God has done the miraculous?
As Christians, we celebrate Jesus Christ, our Messiah, Redeemer, and King on Resurrection Day and every day. When Jesus came out of the tomb alive the enemy no longer had the power over mankind. Jesus took from the devil the power of death, the fear of hell, and the apathy of displacement away.
The power over death is eternal life.
The power over fear is faith in the the promises of God becoming reality in our life.
The power over apathy is our involvement in developing the talents God has given us and activating the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our life.
When we believe Jesus Christ died as our perfect sacrifice for our sin, then we have the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He saves us from our sin. He is Lord of our life, because we recognize He will lead us into triumph. He will guide us with wisdom. He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He has empowered us to resist the enemy as we take back and activate the dominion Jesus died to give us.
Jesus walked out of the tomb alive. I often wonder if He thought the disciples would be there waiting for him. Darius didn't wait for the guards to come tell him if Daniel was a live. Darius arose very early to see for himself. Darius did something Jesus' disciples didn't do. Darius arose early to see if a miracle had taken place. As far as we know, God did not tell him He would protect Daniel. He had no reason to believe God would save Daniel. But something in Darius hoped for a miracle. He hoped beyond what reality told him was possible. This hope burned in Darius from the day before when he tried to find a way to undo the decree, a way to keep from having to throw Daniel in the lion's den. But to no avail. It wasn't humanly possible to prevent this travesty. However, Darius wasn't giving up. He did everything he knew. He fasted and kept a vigil. He did not pacify himself with a feast or musicians or sleeping. He secluded himself and hoped beyond hope. He showed the same faithfulness to intercede for Daniel as Daniel had done for his God. Daniel still believing the Hebrews would be released and return to Jerusalem when their 70 years of captivity was up.
Have you affected a non-believer like Daniel influenced Darius?
There is no record of Darius knowing Daniel's God or worshipping Him. Yet, when Daniel is in trouble, a non-believer positions himself to seek a higher power than himself to do what only God could do. Daniel's God could save His people's lives.
Darius' hope to believe is remarkable. How many times did Jesus tell His disciples He would rise three days later? We went over this last summer. It was an amazing blog series. Not one of them were there, at the tomb where Jesus was laid three days after Jesus' had been sealed inside with a stone. They had been told. Things had happened as Jesus told them. For whatever reason, they chose not to believe the words of Jesus. No one asked Darius to set up a vigil for Daniel. No one said if he did God would hear him. No one gave him the slightest bit of hope that God would save his faithful servant, Daniel. But something in Darius knew to trust God even in this impossible situation.
Who get's cast into a lion's den and lives to tell about it? But then again, who is caned, whipped 30 times with the cat of nine tales, beaten beyond recognition, nailed to a cross, gives up his spirit, hangs lifeless on the cross for your sins? for my sins? for the sins of all mankind? and then rises early three days later?
JESUS the CHRIST, the KING of kings, the LORD of lords, the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, Lamb of God, Lion of Judah, Anointed One, the Holy One, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Bridegroom, Son of God and son of man, the Great I AM.
Father, I will rise to see You, to meet You, to hear Your voice, embrace Your wisdom and bask in Your love. You are my Redeemer and friend. You are my Lord and my King. You are my Savior and my Friend. You are my firm foundation and the Rock upon which I stand. I will worship You. You have saved me from all my transgressions and cleansed me from my sin. You have created me anew. In Your presence I see the truth and embrace Your love. I receive my talent and develop them to be ready for Your use. I will embrace the gifts You have given me and use them to expand Your kingdom here on earth. You are my God and I will honor You with my life. I will prepare my heart to see You. I will set my mind open to hear You. I will ready myself to follow You, doing what You have for me to do to expand Your kingdom here on earth. I will stir my hope in You. I will keep before me all the testimony of the times You have done the miraculous in the past so I filled with faith to believe for what You can do right now. I rise to seek You and You say I will be found by You in Jesus' name amen.
