Warriors Arise: March 25, 2021

Daniel 6:15-16 (NKJV) Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.” 16 So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions.

Eventually, the king has to issue the command. We know he didn't want to but in his position he had to. When a judge is deliberating in his chambers there comes a time when he has to come out and pronounce the verdict. Sometimes the judge doesn't agree with the decision he has to make but he must follow the law. In His or her heart they may sense that facts were not issued, information was left out, or somehow the lawyers didn't do their job and someone is either getting off that shouldn't or someone is going to prison who shouldn't. But they must rule based on the information presented no matter what their instinct is telling them. By the law they are bound.

God is King over all. He is the Just Judge. He is the authority in every matter. When we read the references in the Bible of Jesus returning soon we can get frustrated when we are faced with adversity and caught in the mindset that the world is going to hell-in-a-hand-basket. One of the reasons, but not the only reason, I chose to serve Jesus rather than the devil is because I didn't want to go to hell. But when we are bombarded by the offensive tactics of the enemy as a nation, since last March, pandemic, looting, rioting, killing of police officers and killing unborn babies deemed as acceptable, fraud and treason going unpunished and recklessness of leaders putting our people at risk, we begin to think hell has arrived. However, I will not surrender. This is not hell, because hell would not be this nice. This sure isn't heaven but it definitely isn't hell.

As believers we pray for God to intervene. We take a stand for righteousness. We unite to advance the kingdom of our God. Because when He comes out of His judges chamber we want Him to find us faithful. Jesus would say, "You faithless and wicked generation." He would ask, "When I return will I find faith?" He looked into the eyes of His disciples, "Why are you afraid?"

2 Peter 3:8 (NKJV) But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Many cling onto the Scriptures of Jesus returning soon. They are definitely a promise to someone who does not operate in a 24 hour time period. We do not comprehend what He meant by returning soon.

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God is not slack. He will send His Son to return for us. However, He waits for His people to share their testimony of His goodness, faithfulness, and love so they will declare Him as their Lord, as their God, as their Savior. God did not create anyone to go to hell. There will be countless scores of people going to hell, because they rejected God's offer of eventual life in heaven. They didn't hear the Word of truth, because we didn't share it. They didn't surrender because they thought they had another day.

2 Peter 3:10 (NKJV) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Just like the Judge will come out of his chamber to rule over the case, just like King Darius had to give the command to throw Daniel into the lion's den, God will send His Son to earth. We will not know when; it will be as a thief in the night. If you thought that time was soon would you be sharing your faith with those you know are not saved? Are you really going to wait until the opportunity is gone? If this past year has taught us anything, wouldn't it be that we do not know when our world will pass away?

Father, I ask for You to come and give me courage to step forward and share my faith with people. I ask for Your Spirit to go before me and prepare their hearts. I pray You would guide my words and strength my resolve to share the truth of Your amazing love to those I know do not know You. You have always been faithful. Why am I so afraid? Daniel went to the lions den because he would not surrender his relationship with you based on a death threat. I want to have boldness to share Your word. You set the captives free and they will no longer be imprisoned in the enemy's camp. You cause the blind to see and they recognize Your love for them. You cause the lame to walk and they run into Your arms. I ask for You to give me courage to love as You love in Jesus' name amen.

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
