Warriors Arise: June 24th, 2020

Luke 24:30-33 (NKJV) Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together
What is your God-time like? When you go to spend time with God, do you have moments like these two disicples? What about when you are discussing your God-time with someone else and the conversation goes in a different direction. It is a good direction. You know the things you are saying are really good, matter-of-fact, they are a God-revelation. A "God-revelation" meaning, there is no way you could have known what you just said unless God shared it with you. It was as if that moment you were saying exactly what you were hearing God speak in heaven.
Should we expect our God-time to be any different than what we read about in the Bible? For these two men, "they said to one another, 'Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?' "
There are times when I am reading my Bible and I get nothing. I realize my mind is wandering, I am struggling to focus on the Scripture I am reading, or I am not really open to what God wants to share. Or I don't want to believe the Scripture. I want it to fit into what I believe rather than what God is saying, what actually happened, and how it should effect my life. In each one of these, I have to make a decision: my mind needs to put the things of the day aside and give time for God to speak. My mind will receive what God is saying if I focus my mind on what God wants to say and I must be willing to allow God to mold my thinking.
Isaiah 28:9-10 Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts? 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.
God speaks to us precept upon precept. It is like Algebra. If you do not understand the first lesson you will not understand the 25th lesson. God shares Scriptures according to where we are in our understanding. If we are closed to learning from God then we will struggle understanding His ways. He could share something but our minds are turned off, numb, or unteachable, because we have not learned previous lessons; therefore, we do not have a basis for greater understanding.
These two men were learning from Jesus as they walked to Emmaus. Their hearts burned within them. They were receiving and believing what Jesus was sharing with them.
When we go into our secret place to have our God-time should we expect God to meet us? Should we expect to know God is meeting with us?
Father, I ask for you to open up my heart and mind. I ask to know Your ways. I desire to have You teach me. I pray You would come and minister life to me; body, soul, and spirit. I ask to have a teachable mind and heart. I ask to be aware when You begin to teach me of Your ways through Your Word. Open Your Word to all believers and those who are seeking the truth. I ask for You to draw each one into Your presence and bring understanding of Your ways and Your Word. I pray each one who seeks the truth to recognize You, whether it be burning hearts or awareness of Your presence beside them. I bless minds to be opened to Your Word, and hearts to beat with the purpose of our Lord Jesus Christ. I bless the time each one is seeking You to be made aware of what You are teaching them at that very moment. Come and breathe life from Your Word as You teach us what we need to fight the enemy in our day. I ask for Your people to seek Your face and understanding of Your Word in Jesus' name amen.
A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
