Warriors Arise: December 30, 2020

40 years later...will they make the same mistake? Joshua has been commissioned by God and Moses 5 times. Two spies were sent to Jericho to find a weakness in their defense and have returned. It is time for the people to prepare to cross over the Jordan and take their Promised Land.

Joshua 3:1-3 (NKJV) Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and they set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they crossed over. 2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp; 3 and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.

Joshua did not send the two spies into Jericho to validate what the Lord had promised would be there. Joshua sent the two spies to see if there was a way to penetrate Jericho's walls and take the city. The children of Israel were positioning there location to be ready for the crossover. The people were not given the report of the spies. The people were told to prepare themselves. Be ready. When the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God passes you go after it.

Joshua was not letting the people have a choice. This was not an option. He and Caleb had wandered in the desert for 40 years. Caleb's faithfulness to give a good report 40 years earlier and to exhort the people to follow God into the Promised Land did not go unnoticed. God specifically made a promise to them. Joshua and Caleb would live and not die in the desert.

Numbers 14:24 (NKJV) But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.

Joshua did not give the option to the children of Israel. He learned from Moses' mistake. Now is the time and today is the day to prepare because we are crossing over. Be ready when the ark of the covenant passes by. Be ready to go after it.

We have a countdown of our own. Since God shared this word with me last week I have been seeking exactly how I am to crossover from 2020 to 2021. What about you?

What are you to leave behind?

• Are you still imprisoned by something, calling you to return to a lifestyle that does not position you for God's plans? The children of Israel wanted to return to Egypt. What is your Egypt? What holds you captive and keeps you from living what God says is yours to have?

• Are you wishing you had died in the desert?

• Do you blame God for the terrible things that happened in 2020 and wish the wilderness had been your grave, the coronavirus had killed you? Sadly, there are people who wish that. Rather than being thankful for what God has brought them through and embrace where God is taking them, they want to curse God and return to their prison.

• Are you angry with those who tell you the truth? Or do you want to be led by the people who are feeding you a "healthy" diet of lies?

Egypt, your place of slavery, is not where God wants you. He brought you out of that so you could have the land, the dreams He put inside of you.

The wilderness, is a place in your life where people told you you weren't good enough, smart enough, strong enough, disciplined enough.

The Promised Land is your place of freedom. It is your place God has given you but you will have to leave a slavery mentality behind. You will have to embrace dreaming again and working for the dream God has put inside of you. To live in the fulness of your Promised Land, you will have to let go of the grumbling of the crowd and prepare to lay hold, working for the plans God has put in front of you.

Once in the Promised Land you cannot blame anyone else for your lack of success because your success is dependent upon you following God's plan. In the Promised Land you will have to battle in prayer and being assertive for what God says is yours; your promotion, your advancement, your family, and your mission. You will have to take a stand against the enemy who will tell you lies and try to lead you away from God. You can achieve God's plans with God, but the enemy will tell you not to even try. You can do a new thing, because of God. The enemy will tell you to stick with the old. You can be more than who you are because Christ is in You; but the enemy will tell you not to even try, it doesn't match your personality, and that you have tried it before.

There will be a battle in the Promise Land God has for you but with God you will win! Even if you have told God, "No!" "I can't!" "It just isn't me." "I've tried that before." He is giving you a second chance. This time, just as Joshua told the Israelites "go after it".

Father I ask for courage. It is time to come out of the yuck the coronavirus, the defiling of the looting, the bullying of the riots, the dishonor of the legislators involved in the US justice trial, the fraud of the election, and the lies of the mainstream media. You gave me a brain. I will no longer allow those who do not have facts to tell me what to think. I will not be a part of the mob accusing the wrong people for their distress. I will leave "this place," 2020, and all its chaos, disaster and trauma. I will prepare myself, body, soul and spirit to enter the Promised Land You have for me. The lies I believed are cast aside. I have cut the strings of the puppeteer, the mainstream media. I have and continue to pray for righteousness in our governmental positions. I life of the name of Jesus over the 2020 elections. People will see the fraud and deception that was going on behind closed doors. You will expose the lies and establish truth as we go forward into our Promised Land. I will be ready to leave 2020 and go after the presence of God. I will be led by God to achieve the plans God has for me. I will not be hamstrung by the mistakes of others. I will move forward in God's plans for my life in Jesus' name amen.
