Rejoicing Over Me

Warriors Arise: March 1, 2022

Matthew 18:12-14 (NKJV) “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

I am the one who never gives up, because I know God will make a way out.

Jesus tells a parable of the shepherd going after the one sheep. Jesus doesn't stop looking. He will find us. He will rejoice over us. He does not want one to perish. Therefore, as we are in Christ, He has taught us to never give up. We are to believe He will find us. We are to believe He will rescue us. We are to believe He will make a way out of the situation that seems to steal our joy, strain relationships, and poison our dreams. God will make a way out; therefore, I will be one who never gives up. I know You will make a way out for me.

I am the one who never gives up, because I know God will make a way out.

Father, I am in awe of Your amazing love. It is Your love that never gives up on me. It is Your love that compels you to find me. It is Your love that celebrates over me. It is Your love that returns me to the fold. I am one of Yours. I will lift up my eyes and see that Salvation is coming. I will see You lift me up out of the muck and set my feet on solid ground. Your forgiveness washes over me and I receive Your kindness. I am Yours and You are mine in Jesus' name amen.
