Perfection

Warriors Arise: November 29, 2023

Matthew 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

I did not see this verse coming, but it makes totally sense. It isn't to become perfect, in myself, because of myself. It is to be perfect just as my Father in heaven is perfect. He is perfect because He does and believes for the right thing. As we do what we see the Father doing, then the door will open for everyone to know Him, His love, and His desire to each one.

God loves His enemies. There are people who are completely opposed to God. He could come back and their life would be over. But He loves them and give the more time to see His goodness, repent and turn to Him.

God is cursed every day. There is not one day that goes by when He is not cursed. He decides to bless them. He knows if He were to curse them, they would never come out from under that curse. He controls His anger and speaks blessing toward them.

God is in heaven praying for us. He prays for those who spiteful use Him. They promise to follow Him if He will do this one thing. How many times had God heard that prayer? Yet, He is in heaven praying we would come to understand Him, join Him, and follow the destiny He has placed within us.

God is persecuted all day long. You may wonder how that could happen. We are here on earth and He is in heaven. How are we persecuting Him? When we mistreat or abuse one another, we mistreat and abuse God. God prays we will come to our senses and stop treating people with such disdain.

God expands His garden. He is looking every day for those who will follow after His heart. He is always hoping we would receive Him and join Him.

Father, You are perfect. You are perfect in all of Your ways. I am not You. However, I want to honor You. You are not asking us, commanding us to do something You are not already doing. I see You at work in each on of these commands. You are showing us not only what to do but the importance of knowing what You see as important and then putting it into our own lives. I ask for You to come and continue to draw me into act that aligns with who I am to be and how I am to act because I know You. I pray You would remind me of these last few days and what You are commanding me to do. I will follow Your lead in Jesus' name amen.
