Not AGAIN!!!

Warriors Arise: November 14, 2020

In 1 Samuel 29 the Philistines have gathered and called Israel to war again. David and his 600 men where living in Philistine territory and went to join their battle lines. But the Philistines were afraid David and his men would turn on them after the battle started since they were fighting Israel. David and his men were sent home, back to Ziklag.

It was a disappointing three-day journey home. But when they arrived home, they found it burned with fire by the Amalekites. They had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away (1 Samuel 30:2).

I can't imagine what it would be like to crest the hill and see my home, the city where I live in smoldering ruins. Did the men push their steeds into a full gallop? Did their hearts skip a beat and their breath catch as they took in the sight?

As they searched through the wreckage and burned stones desperate to find a sign, relieved when they realized their wives, children and servants were not killed. Then the search for loved ones turned into tracking to see who had done this. Because you don't have 600 fighting men return home and expect them to do nothing when you have taken everything from them. These men were emotional. They were pumped to fight in a battle, then got sent home, saw their homes burned to the ground not knowing what they would find as they went through the ruins. Their emotions were strung out. All they cared for were gone; their wives, their sons and their daughters, and they servants, everything they owned was gone!

As COVID-19 surfaces it's ugly head again, we are faced with protection our loved ones. We stand against sickness and disease. We pray for our immune systems to rise and be strengthened. We do not live each day in fear but in the love of our God.

1 John 4:18 (NASB) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

Fear is very powerful. But fear is a liar. When we know the lie then fear no longer has power over us. When we declare the truth over the lie, fear loses its hold on us. Whenever I am feeling fear start to cloud my mind and squeeze my heart I look to my Father, "Daddy God, I need You to pour out Your love on me. I am feeing afraid. I ask for You to hold me and saturate every part of my body, my soul, and my mind with Your perfect love. Your love never fails. Right now, I have been allowing fear start to take my thoughts control them. I take captive every thought of the enemy and place them before You. I ask for a cleansing of my mind of all fear and establish in my mind Your perfect love in Jesus' name amen".

The enemy enjoys consuming our thoughts with fear. He taunts us with lies of defeat and hardship but God says Jesus has already won the victory I just have to walk in it. I have to establish Jesus' victory in my personal life. I do that by rebuking the enemy for telling me lies and then calling God to saturate every part of my being and every thought with His perfect love. Then I sit and wait, I soak in His presence, I silence myself. Those moments are not only precious but they are healing to the very core of my beings. God's love never fails.

Father, I ask for You to come and minister to me, body soul, and spirit. I submit to Your love as You wrap Your arms around me. Saturate me in Your perfect love that removes fear. I ask for You to come and strengthen my immune system. I pray for the COVID-19 to die in Jesus' name. I ask for You to reveal the cure for COVID-19. I pray for those who are immune compromised right now to have Your protection before and behind them, above and below them. I ask for each one to be protected by Your love. I declare COVID-19 to be a thing of the past, like polio. We will have a vaccine for COVID-19 that will not cause any side affects. I pray for those who struggle with breathing to receive Your breath of life. I pray for You to bring healing to Your people and that we will extend this healing to all those we know who are sick. I ask for Christians to embrace Your love and release Your healing to those who are infected with COOVID-19. I pray for each one to be bold with their prayers, believe You will intervene, and declare Your healing. Come Father, and minister Your life to me and use me to speak boldly to release healing into those who are sick in Jesus' name amen.
