No Thing Was Lacking

Warriors Arise: December 8, 2020

1 Samuel 30:18-19 (NKJV) 18 So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. 19 And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.

This is incredibly encouraging. Nothing of theirs, meaning nothing of David's and nothing of his men was lacking. And just to make sure we understand we get clarification. Nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they [the Amalekites] had taken from them.

When the enemy comes into your house and takes from you how do you respond? How about I put is into the perspective of what the farmers in central Iowa went through with Derecho back in August. This demonic hurricane of wind, registering over 107-140 mph that blew across 700 miles was unleashed upon the land. The winds were as strong as a hurricane that they gave this catastrophic event a hurricane name.

Thankfully, no one was killed but the farmers lost an enormous amounts from millions of acres of crops to silos, to barns, machinery, and corn and grain bins. Besides having power out for no less than 8 days. It was devastating. Not just to what they had but to their livelihood.

• What if they had just rolled over and cried over their loss?

• What if they had the insurance to cover the damage but didn't bother to call their insurance company?

• What if they didn't try to recover all?

If they had the insurance and decided to not to call their insurance company, we would think they had a screw loose and it wasn't on their tractor. So my question to you:

• Where has the enemy's stolen from you?

• What have you done to recover what was stolen?

The farmers didn't get their check in the mail right away. Matter-of-fact some of them had to insist, even pester the insurance adjuster to come. Insurance adjusters had told some they would come when harvest was over. The farmers did not let it rest. They needed to know what insurance was going to do. They had to call and call again. Most of us know what it is like to deal with insurance adjusters. It takes persistence on our part to keep them doing their job.

When we see the enemy has stolen from us we have a right to make our request known to God. We have a right to call forth what the enemy destroyed. We have a right to stand on the Word of God and declare Him as the Just Judge to step in. You, as a child of God, are valued by God and He will hear you.

You are not to be left lacking. Out of all that was taken from David and his men back in Ziklag, nothing was lacking. Nothing means nothing. No thing was lacking that was theirs, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them.

Father, I thank You for David and his men. David inquired of You and then followed Your plan. He and his men believed that You would be with them, You would fulfill Your promise, You would sustain them through the battle. I ask for You to come and open my eyes to see where the enemy has stolen from me. I ask for ears to hear how You want me to respond. I pray my heart is set on following You. I pray for the fortitude to go after the enemy and the tenacity to stand strong throughout the battle. I ask for You to keep me focused and strengthen me through the battle. I also ask for the truth to be revealed in the 2020 election. I pray for Americans to want to know the truth and embrace Your truth. I ask for You to reveal the plans that were made in darkness and bring them into the light. I pray for the lying tongues to be silenced in Jesus' name. I ask for You to set the record straight. Only You know exactly who the American people voted for. I pray every American gets their vote counted and all the fraud to be removed from the numbers. I ask for You to reveal the computer errors and return the votes to who they voted for. I ask for You to bring Your light into the 2020 election. I ask for the truth to be heard and the lies to be dealt with. I pray for You to breakthrough this darkness and bring us into the light in Jesus' name amen.
