Who Paid for your FREEDOM?

As an American, I am thankful for the men and women who fought the British for my freedom today. I am thank for the men and women who fought for the freedom of the of the slaves before, during and after the Civil War. I am thankful for those who fought in WWI and WWII against those who were seeking world dominance and tyranny. I am thankful for those who fought in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and the Desert Storm War. I am thankful that Americans have helped other countries become a republic, out from under the control of socialist and communist governments. The citizens from these countries were given the chance to make a better life, third world living no more. They were given the freedom to choose what kind of a life they wanted instead of being told what kind of a life they would live. I am thankful for the Americans who fought against foreign and domestic terrorism. So many have died for my freedom as an American.
This is why I stand for the American flag. This is why I believe we are to honor those who fought to make the great country of America. When we study history, we look back and see at any one time we could have lost our freedom. We could have been overtaken by Socialists or Communists.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I am an American, living in a free, capitalist country. I have the opportunity to become who God has called me to be. I do not live under the oppression of an authoritarian government.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I am a Christian, a child of God, adopted into His family, and live under the umbrella of His protection and in the power of His authority.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I am a believer in Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and rose again victorious over satan. By the blood of Jesus, I am no longer a prisoner of the satan because my mind is free from his lies, my body is free from his torment, and my soul is completely redeemed.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I am an ambassador, speaking on behalf of my God. He has commissioned me to share and demonstrate His love to others. I speak on behalf of my Father, who is in heaven. He has given me authority to resist the devil and so that he will flee. God has given me the authority to bind the devil and release the Lord's will here on earth.
I ring the bell of freedom because I have the mind of Christ. My thoughts are not controlled by the world or the devil. I set my mind on the Word of God and He renews my mind every day.
I ring the bell of freedom because I am loved. I know my God will make a way for me even when there isn't a way. I know my God will step in and reposition me when I get off track. I know the love my God has for me, is without fail.
I ring the bell of freedom because I am valuable. God placed a high price on my life, the very life of His Son. Jesus Christ paid for my sins. The very life of Christ, positions me to live free from the world and the devil.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I am forgiven. I have sinned greatly, yet My God still loves me. The blood of Jesus redeems and restores me to the plans God has for me.
I can ring the bell of freedom, because I recognize I would be nothing without my God. He positioned me with purpose for my well-being and the advancement of His kingdom.
I can ring the bell of freedom because God fearfully and wonderfully made me. I am who I am, because I trust God and follow His path. He brought me back when I went astray. I trust God gave me the personality and intensity I needed to accomplish His will for my life.
I can ring the bell of freedom because God knit me in my mother's womb. I trust God gave me the my parents and siblings needed to establish the understanding of family.
I can ring the bell of freedom because God desires for me to succeed.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I believe God leads me into triumph over the devil.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I know the love of God never fails.
I can ring the bell of freedom because I do not have to see to believe. I know Jesus came to set me free from the greatest oppressor on earth, satan, Himself.
I can ring the bell of freedom not because life is perfect, it isn't, but because I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior; therefore, I am free indeed!
The first person to pay for my freedom is Jesus Christ. It is a freedom I take for granted way too much. I live in a country where I can still worship God even if they remove His picture, destroy statues of Him, or break stain glass windows of His life's story. Thankfully Jesus is a part of me and they can't separate me from Him. I stand to honor those who fought for the heritage of an American. I kneel before my God who gave me freedom to be the overcomer against the devil.
The disciples, not just Thomas, had to see to believe but blessed are those who believe who have not seen.
John 20:20-29 (NKJV) When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” 24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Father, there are so many who have heard of Your Son, Jesus Christ. They have had the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior but they didn't believe. I am asking for another chance. I am asking for those who have not believed Jesus came to set them free, to be awakened by You. I ask for You open their minds to believe and their hearts to allow them to receive Jesus Christ. I pray for Your Word to go out through believers. I ask for each one to have courage and faith to speak as Your ambassador. I ask for You to guide believers to the lost and for opportunities to open. I pray for believers to share the freedom we have in Christ. I pray believers would pray with the lost, demonstrate faith in calling forth Your healing power over all sickness and disease. Thank you God for sending Your Son for my freedom. Thank You Jesus for freeing me from sin, death, and hell. Thank You Holy Spirit for freeing me from the wiles of the devil and guiding me into all truth. Thank You for my freedom as an American. Thank you for those who fought for my freedom as an American. Thank you for those who continue to train and fight for any future threats to my freedom as an American. I ask for You to advance Your kingdom here on earth, in America and all around the world in Jesus' name amen.
