Matthew 6:9-13 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Prior to pasting the Lord's prayer into our devotional, I left "amen" off on purpose. I wanted to feel the finality of Jesus saying, "Amen." He wasn't praying. He ws teaching His disciples to pray. Then He ends with the declaration. We pray before My Father's kingdom is forever. My Father's power is forever. My Father's glory is forever. Amen.

Amen can be defined as "so be it". When a king says, "So be it," is final. It is binding. It is a decree that cannot be altered. Reread the prayer and declaration. When you get to amen, declare with passion, "So be it!" I am not trying to alter Scripture. I am trying to revive something we can take for granted.

Amen is used at the end of our personal prayers, statements of agreement, and to conclude our prayer over our food. God hears and answers each one of our prayers. Think of all the things you have prayed this past week or you can go back a month.

How many of them have turned out in your favor?

How many of the things you were concerned about are taken care of and no longer a concern of your's at this time?

Years ago, I kept a journal of my prayers. when they were answered I would put a date by them. I did this long enough to know God heard me. God loves me. God answers me. God is for me. God is with me. God answers the prayers I never spoke out loud. I learned He loves me more than I could comprehend.

I will honor Him with my life, the gifts and talents He has given me. I will listen to His counsel. I will honor Him and walk in His ways. I will seek His wisdom and understanding. I will know Him more today than I did yesterday. When I feel like I have nothing left to give, I will seek Him for strength and rise to fulfill what He has put before me to do. In my weakness, He is strong. When darkness closes in, I will trust Him. When confusion seeks to overtake me, I will listen His voice. He will lead me to green pastures. He will set my feet on solid ground. For Your's is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever! Amen! So be it!
