Just Ask

Warriors Arise: March 15, 2024

Matthew 8:2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

I admire this leper. He broke through barriers to get to Jesus. It would have been completely against the law for him to come out of the leper colony. He would have been condemned to live his remaining days in the leper colony. It was a life of isolation, rejection, and pain. There was no cure for those who had leprosy. But at this time, there was Jesus.

The leper comes and worships Jesus. He doesn't want to be in pain any longer. He doesn't want to be isolated from his family, friends, and society. He doesn't want to be rejected, spat upon, and cursed by everyone who sees him. What could he do?

The leper could go to Jesus, the leper could worship Jesus, and the leper could ask Jesus.

Sometimes I wonder how bad a situation has to be before you go to Jesus, worship Jesus and ask for Jesus to help. Do you embrace your ask with all three?

• The leper had to go. Where do you need to go to get into the presence of Jesus?

• The leper had to worship. What do you need to do to put aside in order for you to wholeheartedly worship Jesus?

• The leper had to ask Jesus. How would the miracle happen? He had to ask for the

My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I will come to You. I will place myself before You. I will worship You. In this, my heart not be comesumed with worry. My heart and mind will be focused on Your goodness and love. I will not forget to ask. I will ask. I will ask for You to heal me. I am asking. God, will You heal me. Will You help me physically, mentally and spiritually? In Jesus' name, amen.
