Warriors Arise: December 1, 2023

Matthew 6:1-4 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."

When we testify of God, we are following Scripture. In Revelation, we are told that we live by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. If we aren't sharing with others what God has done then how do we stir up their belief for the miracle they need from God?

God wants us to share with others what He has done. If they interpret that as bragging, then let it be that we are bragging on our God. He can do some pretty wondrous things with willing vessels. He wants to be celebrated and to have us celebrate with Him when we have accomplished what He has put in our hands to do. In Matthew 25, He invites the servants who multiplied their talents to enter into the joy of the Lord. He wanted them to celebrate with Him.

In my mind, it isn't about my reward, it is about giving God credit for ALL He has done. I want people to know God is faithful, powerful, protective, provider, abundant, kind, loving, wise, and perfect in all of His ways. People can trust God to be exactly what they need and then a little extra just because He love them. People can trust God to hear them.

• They can trust God to speak to them.

• They can trust God to lead them through dark times.

• They can trust God to hold them in difficult times.

• They can trust God to celebrate them when they have done well.

I will boast about my God. I will share what He has done in my life, not as a testimony to myself, but as a testimony of my wondrous God (Psalm 72:18).

Father, You are good and I will praise Your name. I will share what You have done. I will declare Your works. I will let people know of You so they can become a part of Your family. I will tell people of Your goodness so they can trust You. I will tell people of Your power so they know You are second to none. I will tell people of Your love and how it covers a multitude of sins. I will tell people of Your grace to wash us clean so we are white as snow. I will praise You. I will not be ashamed to tell of Your goodness in Jesus' name amen.
