If I Need...

Warriors Arise: April 7, 2024

Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?”

When I read, "O you of little faith", my faith is not shaken, it is exposed for what it is. When my faith is exposed to being weak, insignificant, or less than a mustard seed, I turn to God. I do not ask for more faith. I stir up my faith.

What does it mean to stir up my faith? It can be done through Scripture when we remember or read of someone in history who testified of God intervening in their situation. However, the best way to stir up my faith is to remember what God has done for me.

  • If I need finances, I remember when God provided money and paid a bill for me.

  • If I need healing, I remember when God healed me.

  • If I need resources, I remember when God placed them in my hands.

  • If I need people to accomplish a God task, I remember when God placed people around me strategically to accomplish the God task.

  • If I need breakthrough, I remember when the doors of steal were locked tight before me and God busted through them as if they were tissue paper and I was set free.

  • If I need support, I remember when God brought a person into my life to befriend me in my time of need.

  • If I need courage, I remember when I thought the issue before me had no end and would overpower me forever, but God gave me courage to believe and declare His goodness until I was brought up out of the prison.

  • If I need strength, I remember when I was weak and God gave me the strength to rise and stand against my foes.

  • If I need love, I remember when God wrapped His arms around me and healed my broken heart.

  • If I need joy, I remember when God showed me how He celebrated over me with music and dancing.

  • If I need peace, I remember when God took my burden and peace overcame every fiber of my being.

Whatever I need, God has provided. When my faith is challenged by the circumstances I see, I declare what my God has done in the past. What He has done before, He will do again. I am His beloved and He will meet me in my need and bring me out. He will set my feet upon solid ground. He will restore my soul. He will heal my body and strengthen my spirit. He is my God. I will honor Him by remembering what He has done.

My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank You for each and every time You heard my prayer and answered. Thank You for touching me right where I was and in my need. Thank You for listening and loving me. Thank You for making me whole. I worship You. You are worthy of my praise. I remember You and all You have done. You have always given me the strength needed to hold onto the promise until it becomes reality. I will praise You for the healing that is come, the finances that are one their way, the resources You are putting together, and the people who will be apart of accomplishing the task You have put before me. I praise You and worship You in Jesus' Name, amen.
