I'll Match That

Warriors Arise: March 25, 2024

Matthew 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

Have you been a part of a fundraised and heard, "We are trying to raise $10,000 tonight. If we do, then we have an anonymous donor who will match the $10,000. If we don't, we won't get the anonymous donor's match." What if our faith was matched by God's power? What if He gave us what we can believe Him for?

Many of us would say we pray with faith. But faith is aligned with our belief. Our belief comes from not only what we know but what we dwell upon. How much of you day is dwelling on God coming through in the areas of your needs? If we answered this honestly, I think most of us would have to say our day is not dwelling on God coming through but in what are we going to do if He doesn't.

What if we wrote down our thoughts each day? I'm referring to our thoughts of worry, doubt, and concern. This would help us to see why we struggle to pray with faith. The more our mind dwells on the negative, the impossible, the wrongs, and the struggles we think will never resolve, the less faith we have when approaching Jesus.

When we think it is impossible or this situation will never change our approach to the King of kings, "If you can do anything." When we pray believe God will make a change, will get us out of the darkness, the negatives will be removed and replaced with positive things inner life, and justice will rule over the wrongs, then we approach the King of kings with confident expectation. Not, because He has to, but because His love compels Him to.

My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Today, I will evaluate my thoughts. I am going to be intentional about what I am dwelling upon. I need why faith to be strengthened. I will dwell upon what I know You can do. I will dwell upon knowing You are going to cover that set, resolve that conflict, restore that relationship, provide the resources, and align me with the right people. Holy Spirit come and guard my thoughts. Do not allow me to dwell on the negatives. When you reveal my thoughts the two not align with God's ways, I pray I have the courage to let them go and declare the greatness of God in each situation in Jesus' Name, amen.
