Anger can be used to empower a weapon. What you and I have to decide is whose hand will be wielding that weapon. Anger can be used to hurt the very people we love. Anger can be used to hurt the enemy, who seeks to destroy the ones we love. The difference, whose hand is holding you? Are you held by strings of the puppeteer, the devil, or are you held by the hand of God?

Romans 6:13 (NASB) and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

In the Greek, instruments can be translated: armor or weapons.

Romans 6:13 (NASB) and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as weapons of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as weapons of righteousness to God.

This is an either/or. You and I are either a weapon in the hand of the devil or in the hand of God. Our anger can be used to empower the weapon we were created to be. One of the many things God created us to do was to be a weapon in His hand, to take down the enemy who seeks to destroy us.

Therefore, we use our anger against the enemy and not against people created in the image of God. We use our anger to fuel the weapon God created us to be. God wanted me to allow myself to get "mad as hell." He wanted my passion to overcome the enemy to be greater than my enemy's rage to take me down and out.

Have you been in that place before? No ,the enemy didn't kill you. But he hurt you so intensely that you have lost the fire, the passion, the fortitude to rise up against the enemy. This is why so many Christians do not know or remember to see that we have an enemy who is out to steal, kill, devour and destroy all God has given to us.

But when we see the enemy we need to rise in righteous anger for the injustice happening in our lives and those around us. I don't know that God wants us to get mad as hell; because He doesn't want us unleashing anger out of control or to rage, where we have lost our mind and ruthlessly strike at all who are around; thinking the worst of everybody; tossing ourselves into the hand of the enemy; and becoming his weapon of destruction to those around us.

God does want us to see the real enemy. God wants us to know the truth and operate in His love. God wants us to be a powerful weapon in His hand, seeking the truth and cutting down the lies of the enemy. God wants us to be passionate with a purpose to fulfill our destiny and not allow the enemy to steal what God has created us to do. God wants us to be determined to accomplish His will, alert to the enemy's plan to destroy our lives. God wants us to stand our ground and not give dominion to the devil. God wants us to do all to stand against the enemy.

Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

This passage makes it pretty clear we are supposed to take an active part in our faith. We are to live empowered and purposeful every day. We are not to yield ground to the enemy. We are not to just deal with it. We are to be prepared, watchful, standing and withstanding. We are to put on each piece of the armor; be strong int he Lord and in the power of His might. This doesn't sound to me like we are to accept whatever comes our way. We are to see the enemy and be a weapon in God's hand.

If God were to reveal to you what you looked like as a weapon in his hand would you be a butter knife or a William Wallace 9 foot sword?

The good thing, we all can sharpen ourselves through applying the Word of God to every area of our life. As our faith deepens our sword lengthens and strengthens. We must see the enemy and seize the opportunity to take him down, "Not today, devil. You will pay for what you have done. God is waiting in the throne room of heaven to make you pay restitution for what you have done. I am making a citizen of heaven arrest and ensuring that you don't miss the court date."

Father, I position myself in Your hand. I never want to be used against Your people in any way. I want to be a part of bringing freedom to the captives, setting the prisoners free, restoring the broken hearted as I present and represent Jesus. I ask for You to draw me deeper into Your Word. As a weapon for You to use against the enemy, I want to be more than a butter knife. I want to be a long and strong sword, never to be broken, weapon for you to use against the enemy. I want to be sharp and penetrate the enemy's defenses. I ask for You to give me eyes to see the enemy's destructive work and the fortitude and passion needed to pursue the enemy. I pray that I never sit back on my faith but I take a stand against the enemy. I ask for You to lead me in the truth and that I will be able to stand against the deception of the enemy. Lying is what he does, he is good at it. I need Your Word secure in my life so I can be faithful to stand against the lies of the enemy. There are so many who have rejected Your truth and embrace the lies. I ask for people to be willing to submit to Your ways and be a weapon in Your hand. I pray for those who have willingly put themselves as a weapon in the enemy's hand to have their eyes opened to the truth. I pray each one would look to You for the truth instead of being blinded by the lies of the enemy. I pray for the captives to be set free and the army of the Lord to take a stand upon the truth of Your Word in Jesus' name amen.

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
