John 21:1-4 (NKJV) After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. 4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

If I had worked for hours, all through the night to accomplish something I know I am skilled at, and yet I was unable to produce any results, I would be upset. That might be an understatement. Frustrated and irritated beyond words, which means, give me a minute to get myself together.

Did you know there are times when you need to be mad as hell?

Did you know there are times that it is okay for you to be mad as hell?

First of all, hell is not your friend. Those who are doomed to hell, specifically the devil and his demons, are out to make your life miserable. They hate you and me with a passion. I mean in the depths of their being, they hate us. Why does the devil and his demons hate you and me? Because they hate God and when they look at you and me they see God. We are made in the image of God. So when the devil sees us, He sees God and is reminded that he will never be number one. He will never be worshiped by every being. Every knee will not bow to the devil. Every knee will bow to God and that includes the devil, his demons and all who rejected God.

Jesus said in Luke 10:18 (NKJV) And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven". God did not put Satan on this earth to torment us. God put Satan on this earth for us to torment him.

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Just in case you missed it, we have the authority to trample on serpents. What did God do to Satan when he deceived Eve in the garden? He made him a serpent, to crawl on the ground. We do not know what Satan looked like before he deceived Eve. We do know, as an angel, he was the most beautiful of angels. Why did Satan go after Eve? She was the one who was fashioned by God's hands. Satan could have been extremely jealous of Eve. He was the most beautiful angel in heaven and she is the most beautiful being on earth. No one likes to be replaced. And now he would be a snake, slithering on the ground eating dirt.

Genesis 3:14 (NKJV) So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.

In Luke 10:19, if it wasn't enough for Jesus to say that He gives us authority over serpents (which would include the devil) and scorpions, He specifically said that He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy. That is good news! Just to make sure we got it, He said it twice. We have the authority over the enemy and we are to use it! Go ahead, get mad as hell.

What does that look like for a Christian? The only way this can be done is if we filter our anger through the Spirit of God within us. We do not allow the anger to control us, pushing us to act upon our emotions. Anger released through our emotions positions us to unleash verbal, physical and mental abuse to whomever is closest to us. While we allow our anger to rule over us, we give up the control our mind has over our emotions. Some people may call this, "loosing your mind." When anger is released through our emotions, it rages without restraint. Therefore, we take captive the anger and funnel it to the Spirit and use it to empower our prayers to fight the battle to overcome the enemy.

Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Our battle isn't a person or the actual circumstance. When the enemy begins the battle we have the opportunity to bring the battle to an end, God's end, through the authority Jesus has given us. We have the opportunity to remove the enemy from the situation. Go ahead, get mad as hell.

There isn't any being in hell that is thinking happy thoughts about you or I. The devil's hate for us oozes out of him. He doesn't care one bit about you or me. He doesn't care about human kind in the least. His anger spews out toward human beings. But when we know Whose we are and who we are, we have the authority to remove the devil's circumstance and thwart his plans.

Father, thank you for teaching me how to deal with my anger. It baffles me that You would give us authority over the devil, but it is definitely another reason he hates us. I ask for You to teach me how to use the anger I feel to empower my prayers and remove the enemy from the dominion You have given me. I ask for You to instruct me on how to pray with authority that dislodges the enemy from my finances. I ask for You to make me wise to the tactics of the enemy, so I can use the authority You have given me authority to demolish the enemy who seeks to steal from my family, my job, my business, and my home. Because I didn't know how to deal with my anger, I thought it was always considered a bad thing. I tried my best to remain calm and just accept whatever happened to me. I now know that the enemy tries to attack me, steal what is mine and destroy what You have given me. I want to take a stand as a warrior in Your kingdom. I no longer want to be subject to everything the enemy does to make my life miserable. I want to see the enemy, the things he is stealing from me and administer the authority You have given me to bring him into Your courtroom and have him pay restitution. I want to see the relationships the enemy has killed or tried to take from me and apply the authority You have given me, to bring life into them. I want to see the enemy, the opportunities and advancements he has destroyed so I can walk in Your authority to build, achieve, and succeed as You have directed. Come and teach me how to be aggressive in my prayers, use the anger as I use Your authority to remove the enemy in Jesus' name amen.

A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

Veridee Joy

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
