Difficult to Serve One

Warriors Arise: January 21, 2024

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

It is hard enough to serve one master let alone trying to serve two. Mammon is defined as wealth regarded as an evil influences or false object of worships and devotion. Even those who make mammon their god struggle to serve it well. They are striving and giving up time with their spouse, children, extended family and there is absolutely no time for friends or God. They are in constant battle with themselves for needing to make more to have more. They never seem to be satisfied because there is alway something else they want; therefore, they have to work more to get it. They live with regret because they have sacrificed the important things in life, relationships. They are not serving mammon, they are a slave to it. Honestly, I feel sorry for them. When mammon is your god, you can't see what you are losing.

There is no reason to be spightful toward someone who is caught in the snare of mammon. They are deceived and cannot see the truth. They do not realize wha they are losing as they serve mammon. They need deliverance and their family needs prayer. All with have to learn to have a real relationship rather than one built on what money can buy.

My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I pray for those who are caught in the snare of mammon to receive deliverance. I pray they would not be controlled by mammon. I pray for each one in their family to come to a realization of needing to have a real, life-giving, encouraging relationship with each one in the family. I pray they would have fun together with the simple things in life. I pray they would return to You. I pray they would know Your love and be set free from the control of mammon in Jesus' name amen.
