Did You Say FREE?

Warriors Arise: March 7, 2022

Matthew 10:7-8 (NKJV) And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

I am the one who receives from the Lord,

therefore, I can give what has freely been given to me.

Seems odd for Jesus to tell the disciples, "Freely you have received, freely give". Why don't we freely give what God has freely given to us? The answer is simple. When God gave us the gift we shelved it. It didn't become a part of our lives. We don't actually use it. We have it but because we didn't make it a part of our lives it has little value in our lives.

When we recognize what God has given us, then we use it in our lives. He has given us so much. What are some things you can think of that God has given you? Are they evident in your life?

Here's the deal, when God gives you something it is for you to receive, so you can be His ambassador to give to others. We are the conduits God uses to give to the world. What He gives to us is to flow through us to others.

Father, thank You for giving so freely into my life. I ask for eyes to see what You have given me so I can freely give to others. I ask for understanding to know how to give to others what You have given to me. I pray for courage to give away what You have give to me. I will not be afraid of running out of what You have given me. You have more than enough for me and everyone I give to. There will be no lack because everything you have given to me is to be passes on to others. I am not to be the plug that prevents others from receiving what you have given me. I am to be the conduit by which Your love flows to others in Jesus' name amen.
