Delirium or Fainting?

Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
"You are the salt of the earth." This is a statement. Jesus isn't asking us the questions. He didn't ask, "Are you the salt of the earth?" No, He said, "You are the salt of the earth." Therefore, we are what Jesus says we are. You and I are the salt of the earth. We are the ones that give flavor to the world. We have something the world needs.
When people do not get enough sodium or are drinking too much water, they need to take sodium pills. There are some significant side effects of someone who is low in sodium. It can cause weakness, headaches, nausea, muscle aches, loss of memory, delirium, and fainting.
Since Jesus said we are the salt of the earth, then we are salt of the earth. God wants us to offer the world something they can't get somewhere else. I wonder how many Christians struggle with low sodium levels in their spirit:
Weakness in their faith.
Headaches when they read their Bible.
Nauseous or sick to their stomach when it is time to become corporate and contribute in a church.
Muscle aches when we they are asked to serve in church.
Loss of memory; therefore, they can't remember what God has done for them.
Delirium where they are talking all kinds of nonsense about the Bible, God, and His people. They struggle to connect the Word being preached to their personal life.
Fainting; therefore, they can't hear or see God, they completely pulled out of fellowship with Believers, and they do not see who to share God's love.
We are salt of the earth. Jesus said so. However, we have to assess if we still carry the taste of salt.
Are we strong or weak in our faith?
Are we at peace and receptive in our mind or having headaches when we read the Bible?
Are we volunteering in church or nauseous and struggle to stand and worship God?
Are we growing our muscles in faith and working in the ministry or are we cramping and quitting before we even got started?
Are we remembering what God has done for us and giving testimony or are we forgetting what God has done and offering no hope to this world.
Are we sure of what God has said and standing strong upon His Word or do we struggle to remember the goodness of God, what He has done and what He has promised?
Are we united and dedicated to aligning with other Believers to advance God's kingdom here on earth or do we faint at the sight of the enemy drawing battle lines?
The question isn't, "Am I salt?"
The question is, "Am I salty?"
Father, I come before You today asking You, "Am I salty?" (pause and listen, if you ask with a heart open to hear, God will speak to you.) God, I respire to be salty. I want to offer others something of value. I want to offer them You, Your love, and Your Salvation. I want to give them hope. I want to speak words of life and connect them with You. I pray to be salty in Jesus' name amen.
