Warriors Arise: February 24, 2024
Matthew 7:15 & 16a “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.
This is simple. We are to check their fruit. The fruit is in their personal life, in every day living. Be careful to check fruit that has been damaged. What do I mean by that? People can produce good fruit but when someone else comes, picks up their fruit and bruises it, doesn't mean that the fruit grower had bad fruit. What they had was taken from them and misused by another.
Be careful to listen to someone else without watching and listening to truly see if what they say is true. Hurt people will hurt people. If someone has had their fruit taken from them and damaged before you are able to see it, then you didn't receive good intel. You are looking at their fruit after it has been damaged not as it was produced.
Many of us have had difficult situations in our life that caused a season of fruit in our life to strain in producing good fruit. In those times, we had to get into the presence of God. We needed the hands of the gardener upon our lives. Most of us are damaged goods, however, we all have the opportunity to be made whole again and grow beautiful, delightful fruit.
I may have a damaged piece of fruit. I might even have a damaged bushel of fruit but by the grace of God I will not have a complete harvest destroyed by a false prophet in the mix. I will fix my eyes on Jesus. I will call upon the God to nurture my garden. I will drink from the river of Life. I will receive from the Son. I will produce good fruit because I will not be persuaded by the false prophet. I will follow the Good Shepherd.
My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Give us wisdom and grace. Give us eyes to see You and ears to hear You. I come before You will my damaged fruit. I ask for You to tend my vineyard, strengthen my roots, let rain from heaven fall upon me and the sun call out growth within me. I desire to produce good fruit for others to taste and see what God can do in a life submitted to Him, in Jesus' Name, amen.
