Conviction

Warriors Arise: January 6, 2024

Matthew 6:9-13 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

Jesus instructs us in a very powerful concept. I have heard this prayer recited, but never really prayed with conviction. What I mean by conviction is one who is convinced this prayer will produce what is prayed. What if we truly believed this prayer?

We would:

• Give God holy, grateful, and lavishing reverence,

• Released the blessing of the Father upon our life, here and now

• Receive provision every day

• Be Free from the bondage of being indebted to those who have hurt us and those we have hurt

• Walk away from temptation and

• Be delivered from the evil one.

What if we prayed as if we truly loved God and believed this prayer to be a powerful tool to rise and do great exploits with God and break free from the enemy's grip. Can you imagine the glory God would be given for those who would live this out?

There are so many Biblical examples. However, I want to see it active today. They had serious problems back in the Old Testament times and yet, many rose to honor God is all they did. They accomplished great exploits with God. Many did these great exploits under ungodly leaders. When the leaders saw God protect His own, they commanded their entire nation to recognize God.

Where are these stories today? Do we live such a life of ease and comfort that we are not positioned to do great exploits that cause people to recognize our God? Or do we not honor God through the problems; therefore, we are not representing Him to the lost and hardhearted?

Why do we not see and hear of the people of God today doing great exploits like the people of the Bible? What if God wanted to show His power through you?

Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today, the wisdom rom Your Word and the courage to live boldly in our faith. I release all who have hurt me and caused pain in my life. I pray they would do the same for me. You are my God and I desire to honor You. I desire to live my life bringing glory to Your name. I pray I would not miss an opportunity to share Your love, wisdom, and freedom. I pray I would see the people around me who need Your freedom, deliverance and healing. I pray I would have the words to say and speak them. I ask for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven in Jesus' name amen.
