Warriors Arise: March 11, 2024
Matthew 7:29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
I have to check myself with this. Jesus taught them as one having authority. When we recognize someone has authroity, we tend to give them respect. We allow them to speak into our lives. We receive what they are saying. We act upon what they are telling us to do.
Do I allow God to speak into my life?
Do I allow God to tell me something I don't really want to hear?
Do I respect God?
Do I receive what He is saying?
Do I act upon what He is telling me to do?
God should be the ultimate authority in our life. It is a way for us to express honor toward Him. When we do what He tells us to do, we are giving Him honor. As you read the Word of God, do you give room to speak into your life? Do you allow Him to correct you and guide you? Do you allow Him to show you the truth? We honor God through our actions. Our actions that line up with what God is instructing us to do will make our words more meaningful.
My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Speak to me and guide me. Correct me if I look to be in the wrong. I desire to hear from You. I desire to hear You and follow Your plan. I will honor You with my actions and my words in Jesus' Name, amen.
