Breathe on Me

Warriors Arise: July 11th, 2020

John 20:21-23 (NKJV) So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

Jesus breathed on them - this was not the first time. When Jesus sent them out to do the God-stuff, they passed by Him and He breathed on them. Then they went out and did the same miracles He did. God wants us to understand something about receiving His breath. How do we receive His breath? What happens when we receive God's breath? God formed man out of the dirt of the earth and did what?

Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Man did not become a living being UNTIL God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life! When God formed man out of dirt, man was just dirt. There might not have been a heart, brain, lungs to receive the breath, muscles etc. There was a pile of dirt formed into the outward image of God. But when God breathed into the nostrils of man, something miraculous happened. As breath flowed through the dirt, the dirt became a solid form with lungs receiving His breath, which flowed into the dirt; then dirt became flesh, cells formed to make the organs, blood flowed throughout the body, bones solidified, and brain became alert. One more thing happened.

Man was the only thing God created that He didn't say, "Let there be man and there was man...". God formed man, meaning God used His hands to create man. When God created our world, the only living thing that received the breath of God was man, human beings. When Adam received the breath of God, he became a living being with a soul. The breath of God is a creative miracle, making something out of nothing. No matter how you put together the elements of dirt no scientist can create life. However, when God breathes into the dirt, man is a living being with a soul. According to Scripture nothing else created by God received the breath God. Nothing else created has a soul.

Read the following and see what God tells Ezekiel prophecy life, specific parts of the body, breath to return to the body, and builds an exceedingly great army.

Ezekiel 37:1-14 (NKJV) The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” 4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ” 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. 9 Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

What if we really believed God wanted believers to prophecy to bones and creative miracle happens, bones were formed and made strong. What if we really believed God wanted believers to prophecy to muscles, ligaments and tendons and a creative miracle happens when they are made in perfect working condition? What if God wanted us to speak to those who have skin disease and prophecy healing and health and a creative miracle happens, their skin is perfect in every way? What if God wanted us to prophecy to those who are struggling to breath, those who are affected in their lungs by the coronavirus? What if we prophecy for the breath of God to come? What if God wants us to prophecy creative miracles for bodies to be restored and healed and breath of life to fill their bodies, because He wants an exceedingly great army?

Father, breath on me, O breath of God. Let Your breath reach every cell in my body and bring restoration to the parts that need life. I ask for You to come and minister to my physical body. I desire to be strong and healthy. I do not want to grow weary in well-doing. I want to press in and be a part of the solution for our times. I ask for You to breath on my loved ones who are in pain, fighting disease and sickness. I ask for You to breathe and restore what has been lost. I ask for You to increase our immune systems. I ask for agility to return to my body. I ask for You to breathe on me and I have clarity of thought, with the truth clearly established in my mind. I ask for You to breathe on me and bring fullness of life to my entire being. Your breath, bringing a creative miracle in dirt brought to life. I ask for You to come and breathe again in each one of us, release Your creative miracle in our body. Breath of God come and bring creative life to each one of us; body, soul and spirit. I pray for bodies to be restored and the breath of God to give life. I pray for Your army, believers here on earth, all over the earth to rise, be made whole and filled with the breath of God to advance Your kingdom here on earth. I pray we would be bold to prophecy and Your exceedingly great army be made whole in Jesus' name amen.
