Warriors Arise: September 29, 2020

John 21:9-12 (NKJV) Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.”
One of the pleasures in life is when someone else fixes the meal and has it ready after you have been working, long, difficult hours. Especially, when you do not know that they have prepared the meal for you. You thought you were going to have another hour of work preparing the meal, but what blessing that time was just given back to you.
Jesus not only blessed them with a successful fishing excursion, but has breakfast ready when they arrive. He delights in their catch, even though, without His intervention they would still be out in the boat. He goes over-the-top as John records the net did not break with the multitude of fish they caught. God does this for us on a regular basis. He makes a way in the middle of our toiling for the job to be complete and for time with Him.
I wonder how many times God has provided a way for us to finish a job, a project, a meeting early and we fill our time with something else other than spending time with Him? I am a list person. At times, I have to be careful that when I know a task has been completed or even my entire list, that I do not write down more on my list and continue working through the call to spend time with God. However, when I do respond to Him I recognize God intervene in my day, causing all things to get done in a timely manner. I like to celebrate with Him. I thank Him for creating this time for He and me to spend extra time together. This is bonus time with God. I may not get my Bible out at this time. I may not petition the Lord for anything. I may not even say anything. It may be a time to sit in His presence to taste and see that the LORD is good (Psalm 34:8). That Scripture is sandwiched between some verses that are extremely encouraging.
Psalms 34:1-10 (NKJV) I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. 4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. 8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! 9 Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. 10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
Look at the number of promises in these 10 verses. This is not a passage to read through, it is a passage to eat, to make sure you have chewed and digested the truth of what God is offering us. Read it again.
How many promises did you find? Eat them up. I do not know if Ezekiel really ate the scroll or if he was to digest what was on the scroll, take it in, be nourished by it, have it grafted to his memory. These promises and blessings are for you and me. They are to be a part of who we are. They offer us the confidence that our God listens, protects, provides, and surrounds us with His love. When we truly have digested them, we will magnify the Lord, lift His name on high, be in awe of who He is and all He has done for us. There is no way to hold back our praise when we live the truths of these verses.
Jesus tells the disciples, "Come and eat breakfast." Don't miss the Lord when He calls you to come and eat what He has prepared for you. You will taste and see that the LORD is good.
Father, I am in awe of You. Your love is amazing. Your peace is mind boggling. Your protection is without flaw. You hear me. I am Your beloved. You make me a priority, not because I have done anything but because You created me in Your image to be in relationship with You. You clear my schedule just so we can have more time together. Your love for me is beyond what I can comprehend. You patiently wait for me to finish my work and spend time with You. You help me finish my tasks so we can have time together. You teach me wisdom, truth and understanding. You guide me in righteousness. You protect me from the enemy. You care enough about me that You will correct me and set my feet upon the truth. Christ is my solid rock and I will stand upon the Word of the Lord. You embrace me with compassion and minister to my broken heart. You strengthen me with the joy of the Lord. I will sing Your praises all day long. I will magnify the Lord for He is good to me. Amen!

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
