Warriors Arise: April 13, 2024
Mathew 8:28 When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way.
I wonder if the disciples thought, "We would rather face the tempest than these two!" Have you ever been in a very difficult situation, like the disciples and the tempest only to get through it and find yourself in another difficult situation? Those back to back battles can be atrocious.
You might have come through a tempt only to find yourself facing something that seems to be just as demonically charged as the tempest. These back to back battles can be overwhelming. You may even think, "I didn't have time to recover from the last battle and now this!"
Draw power from these back to back battles as you use the faith from overcoming the enemy in the last battle to knowing Jesus will take care of the battle now looming before you as a threat. Jesus was with the disciples in the boat when the tempest came. When He spoke, the tempest became a great calm. Jesus was with the disciples when they arrived at the other side and the two exceedingly fierce demon-possessed men came to them. Again Jesus spoke a word, one word, and the demons fled.
Do you realize you only need one word? You only need God to say one word. Yes, it is difficult to face back to back hardships, travesties, or demonic battles. But God is with you. You are not alone. All He has to say is one word.
What is the one word you need God to say in these back to back battle? I know the battle is overwhelming. Yo may think you can handle this again, there isn't enough in you to rise, stand or fight in this next battle. This next battle may seem more personal. It may seem that is truly is directed toward you, but God. He only needs to say one word and the threat is removed.
My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I praise You for rise in the midst of the tempest and bring a great calm. Now that the second battle has come out fiercely to meet me, I look to You to take on the enemy. I am grateful to be with You. I am thankful You are going to address the enemy fiercely coming toward me. It looks so intimidating. I hav no idea how to handle it, how to stand and fight, but You do. You know exactly what to say. It only takes one word from You and this back to back devastation stands before me no more. Speak that word and end this today, in Jesus' Name, amen.
