Warrior's Arise: August 4th, 2020

John 20:26-29 (NKJV) Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,“Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Jesus doesn't just pronounce a blessing over those who have not seen and yet have believed, He says those who have not seen and yet have believed are blessed. This type of blessed is a state of being it is not an event or happening.

Blessed in those Scripture means supremely blessed, fortunate, well off, possessing the favor of God, that state of being marked by fullness from God (CWSB Dictionary). If you confess Your sins and declare Jesus as your Savior, you are who Jesus is referring to. You are blessed because you believe Jesus came from heaven, born of a virgin, willingly became our sacrifice to cover our sins with His blood as He defeated the devil, death, and hell, and is alive in heaven today. Jesus is the only way to the Father.

What does it mean to be blessed? Since Jesus said it, do you believe it? I would ask for you to take the time to reflect on how you really feel, especially when things do not seem to be going in your favor. Are you blessed?

Sometimes I have to remind myself that Jesus said I am blessed. I can get caught up in all the yuck going on in the world and wonder, "This is a terrible time to live. What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to respond? What is my place in all of this chaos?" It can be overwhelming.

Back in March I was feeling all of those and that is when I began to pray and then God told me to gather His warriors to pray. All that is going on: COVID-19, isolation, economic crash, social distancing, riots, history being destroyed, domestic terrorism, racism in all ethnic groups, in the midst of an election year where lies are so prevalent. People have yet to realize none of these things are the real enemy.

The real enemy is the devil and his demons. The devil is the best pot-stirrer known and unknown to man. The enemy wants us to be so traumatized that we forget who we are and Whose we are.

I was thinking of a song earlier today; "Everyday I'm Blessed" by David Crowder. One of the lines:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and all day Saturday I'm blessed.

Jesus says I am blessed and Scriptures tells me what that looks like; therefore, I remind myself:

I am the apple of God's eye.

I am protected.

I am provided for.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

My enemies have to watch me receive God's love.

I am heard.

My God spends time with me, talks with me, and teaches me.

The Holy Spirit guides, comforts, and counsels me.

Jesus prays for me.

I am clay in the Potter's hands.

My God looks at me and sees potential.

I am God's lamb.

My God delivers me from danger.

I am God's servant.

My God gives me purpose.

I am God's friend.

My God shares with me special insights and information.

I am God's child.

My God will invest in me.

I am the Bride of Christ.

My God sent Jesus to teach me how to take dominion and release the Father's love.

I am God's ambassador.

I am chosen for this generation.

I am of a royal priesthood.

I am of a holy nation.

I am God's special person.

I proclaim the praises of my God.

I am the head and not the tail.

I am the victor and not the victim.

I am an overcomer and not the overcome.

I am a child of the Most High God.

I am who God says I am.

Read the list again not with me in mind but with you. Declare them out loud. Embrace who God says you are. As a Christian, Jesus says you are blessed. Do you believe what Jesus said? Do you live as He has said? Do you lived blessed?

Father, I ask for You to renew my mind. I have read Your Word and know these things listed above to be directly from Your Word. I ask for You to come and renew my mind. I open my mind to receive the truth of who You say I am. I open my heart to let You pour Your love into me. I embrace with every fiber of my being the blessing Jesus has spoken in to my life before I was born. I am who you say I am. I will no longer let anyone else tell me who I am. I will walk in the fullness of the blessing Jesus has given me. I declare Your Word to be true in my life. I will receive everything You say I am. I command the lies of this world to be voided out. I release Your truth to be made known in my mind, heart, body, and spirit. I put myself into Your hands and ask You to remove the impediments of lies and wrong beliefs that keep causing me to break when the heat of the chaos is turned up in my life. I ask for You to remove the lies. I willingly give them to You. I am blessed in Jesus' name amen.

A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

Veridee Joy

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
