Warriors Arise: May 25th, 2020

Mary is a woman of completion. She arrived that morning to anoint Jesus' body with oils, she returns following Peter and John back to the tomb, they leave and she remains. She pours out her heart then looks into the tomb and two angels ask her a question. I can't wait to see the video in heaven on what the angels were doing inside the tomb while Mary was weeping, just outside the tomb. I wonder what they said to one another:
"Do you think she will look in?"
"We were told to stay in the tomb but what if we go to her? She needs to know Jesus is alive."
"Is there something we could throw to make a noise? Then she might look inside?"
"Why don't you clear your throat, then she might look in?"
"I'm not going to clear my throat. If you think that will work then you clear your throat."
"She's been crying a long time. I didn't know someone could cry that long, that hard."
"Did she not get the message from the angel this morning? We need to tell her Jesus is alive."
"I know the angel from this morning told her. I don't know why she is crying. Maybe she doesn't know why she is crying?"
"Maybe we should ask why she is crying."
"I'm not going to say anything. We might scare her off before we get to talk with her."
How many times they look at the other and say, "I'm not going to disturb her, you do it." "Well, someone needs to get her attention. We are stuck in this tomb until she looks in." I have fun thinking about situations in the Bible and the things that we won't find out until we get to heaven. When she finally looks into the tomb and sees the angels they ask her a question.
The two angels ask, "Woman, why are you weeping?" John 20:13
Jesus asks, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" John 20:15
"She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away."" John 20:15b
Mary wants to make sure Jesus is honored in His burial. She has not grasped what the angel from the morning told her, "Jesus is not here. He is alive!" Mary is still looking for Jesus' body and she thinks someone has taken it. Mary has good intentions but they aren't needed because Jesus is not dead. He is alive.
We can have the best intentions and be right according to what we comprehend, but if we do not have the truth to start with our best intentions can be a waste of time. She was in pursuit of Jesus' dead body so she could anoint and bury it in a place not one would find Him. But Jesus is alive, He is not dead. There is no dead body.
As Believers in Jesus Christ, we can have the best intentions of our mind can comprehend but they are not accurate because we do not have all the information. This is why we need to listen to God and even if our mind cannot comprehend what He has told us we walk by faith until we see what He saw all along. God wants us to understand what He is telling us. When He speaks it is generally something that is going to take a walk of faith because it is beyond what we can comprehend with the information we have. We need Him to bring the truth. We need Him to share with us the missing pieces of the situation so we can rise and receive what He is telling us.
Father, I ask for You to come and bring life to each one of us. I ask for Your people to be given wisdom and understanding. Your Word says if we desire wisdom we are to ask and You will give it to us. Your Word says if we desire understanding we are to ask and You will teach us what we do not know. I pray for people from all walks of life to seek You for wisdom and understanding. I pray You would speak to Your people. I pray You would share what we need to know to live in the abundance Jesus died to give us. I pray You would make known You plans and we would heartily agree with them and walk them out. I ask for You to speak clearly, giving us comprehension of Your ways. I ask for You to make known Your love for each person. You desire for each one of us to live in the truth. I pray today for our government officials, those making decisions for our well-being. I ask for You to speak wisdom to the government officials. I pray they will seek You and their ears will be open to listen to You. I pray, we as believers, would be about Your plan and what You are doing. I pray we would not be overcome with confusion or fear. I pray we would know Your plan and walk in it to its completion. I pray we would not be stuck in what we think should happen, or become overly opinionated; but that we seek You and embrace what You are saying for this time. I ask for You to open up our minds so we can comprehend what You want and how we can be a part of the solution. We do not want to add to the problem, with our limited understanding of what You are doing. I ask for You to speak clearly to Your people and tell us what You need each one to do to advance Your kingdom. I thank you for Your amazing love. It reaches down from heaven and meets us. You are amazing and Your ways demonstrate your love. I pray for each person to open their mind and receive Your wisdom and understanding for this time. I pray we will walk by faith until our mind can wrap around what You are telling us. I ask for a clear word from You. I pray for Your kingdom advancement all over the earth as people see You. I pray Your presence would be tangible. I pray for kingdom's advancement all over the earth as people hear You. I pray we would choose to believe even if our minds do not yet comprehend, in Jesus' name amen.
