Warriors Arise: March 12, 2024
Matthew 8:1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.
Why does Matthew point out where Jesus had been? What is so significant about Jesus coming down from the mountain? It was definitely a place of solitude. Many times the Gospels will say He was praying. Matthew being so meticulous didn't tell us why Jesus was up on the mountain. It is as if Jesus had been up on the mountain for quite a long time and everyone knew what He was doing.
I have no doubt Jesus was talking with His Father. Just like you and I, He wants to know was two do next. He wants to know where to go next. He wants to make sure He is doing exactly what the Father wants Him to do. He wants to please the Father. He also might be asking when. When should I go to Jerusalem? When is My time to glorify You? When do I need to begin to fulfill all the prophets of the Old Testament declared?
I enjoy the mountain top experience. I enjoy being as close the Father as I possibly can. Today, my Overflow Ministry team leaves for South Carolina to bring the message of Crowned to Fulfill Your Destiny. We are thoroughly excited. I anticipate the mountain top with each day. When we did this conference two weeks ago, the lives of each woman was touched by God and made whole so each one could be about the Father's business as they embrace their calling and live in the fullness of the position God has for them.
We are headed up the mountain. We are looking forward to all who will join us there. We know what they are about to experience will change their lives. They heard the message and positioned themselves to receive from God. He met with each one. He restored what had been lost and brought redemption. Then they received the power to overcome, persevere and rise up to take their place. They took the place Jesus said was their's. They stepped forward and received their crowning moment with God. It was absolutely amazing. God is so incredible.
My Father in heaven hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Today. I ask to always find a way to meet You on the mountain. I know You are always with me. However, I know there is so much more. I pray I continually take the opportunity to meet with You, communion with You. I want to know Your ways and Your voice. I want to worship You and celebrate all You have done in my life. I will make time to meet with You. There are some things I won't be able to understand unless I come away and meet You on the mountain. I will position myself in Your presence, in Jesus' Name amen.
